Henry J. Klosak (November 7, 1925 - December 28, 1992) was an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives and the Village President of Cicero, Illinois.
Klosak was born November 7, 1925. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School and J. S. Morton High School in Cicero. He then attended DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. He served with United States Coast Guard in South Pacific and Africa during World War II. He later became a Justice of the Peace and Magistrate of Circuit Court of Cook County. He was elected in 1966 [1] and served until he became Village President of Cicero in 1980. He was an opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment while in the House. [2] He was married with four children. He died December 28, 1992. [3]

Austin is one of seventy-seven officially designated community areas in Chicago, Illinois. Located on the city's West Side, it is the second largest community area by population and the second-largest geographically. Austin's eastern boundary is the Belt Railway located just east of Cicero Avenue. Its northernmost border is the Milwaukee District / West Line. Abner Joseph Mikva was an American politician, federal judge, lawyer and law professor. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Mikva served in the United States House of Representatives representing Illinois's 2nd congressional district (1969–1973) and 10th congressional district (1975–1979). He was appointed as a United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit by President Jimmy Carter, serving from 1979 to 1994. He served as the White House Counsel in 1994-95 during Bill Clinton's presidency. In his later career, Mikva taught law at University of Chicago Law School, Georgetown Law Center and Northwestern University. He mentored future President of the United States Barack Obama during his early years in law. In 2014 Obama honored Mikva with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

J. Sterling Morton High School District 201 is a school district headquartered in Cicero, Illinois, United States. The district serves the city of Berwyn, the town of Cicero, and the villages of Lyons and Stickney. A small section of McCook also lies in the district boundaries. The school district is named after Julius Sterling Morton, Grover Cleveland's Secretary of Agriculture during his second term, who is best known for founding Arbor Day. The district and its schools are named after Morton because he was friends with Cicero resident and fur trader Portus Baxter Weare.

Frank Cicero, Jr. is an American trial and appellate lawyer and published historian. In his five-decade career as a litigator and partner at the international law firm Kirkland & Ellis, he has handled major U.S. civil and criminal trials and highly publicized international proceedings, such as those arising out of the Amoco Cadiz and Exxon Valdez oil spills. His legal work has been recognized by the Chambers & Partners and The Best Lawyers In America lawyer-rating directories, TheNew York Times and Chicago Tribune, and several books. In 1969–70, he served as a delegate to the Sixth Illinois Constitutional Convention, which drafted the state's most recent constitution. Cicero has written two history books, Relative Strangers: Italian Protestants in the Catholic World (2011) and Creating the Land of Lincoln: The History and Constitutions of Illinois 1778-1870 (2018). The latter work won the Illinois State Historical Society's Russell P. Strange Book of the Year Award in 2019, in recognition of its contribution to the study of Illinois history.
