Henry James Moodie (born April 7, 2004) [1] is a British pop singer-songwriter who became successful on TikTok starting in 2022. [2]

Life

Henry Moodie began making music at the age of 11. At 14, he attended songwriter sessions in London on weekends. Henry Moodie left school at 16 to spend some time playing in a band and taking a songwriting course in Fulham. [3] Before releasing his own songs, he initially posted cover songs on TikTok and other internet platforms. [4] [5]

Later, he performed as a support act on The Vamps' arena tour and at concerts by Mimi Webb. His first single, You Were There for Me, reached the charts in several countries in 2022, including the Swiss Hitparade. [6] This and other songs of his also appeared in the British charts. In 2023, Henry Moodie was named one of Amazon Music's "Artists to Watch 2023." [7] In 2023, Henry Moodie went on his first solo tour. [1] In February 2024, the Lonely Nights Tour started, consisting of 18 concerts in Europe and the UK. In Malaysia his song "Drunk" was in 2024 four weeks number one of the charts according to the Recording Industry Association of Malaysia. [8]

Family

Henry Moodie has a sister. His mother is a therapist who taught him how to channel his emotions. [9]

The song's release was delayed due to a sample clearance agreement, and was eventually released on February 7, 2020, by Mogul Vision Music and Interscope Records. It was released concurrently with the reissue of Lil Mosey's second studio album Certified Hitmaker (2019), which the single appears on. It is Mosey's most successful song to date, peaking at number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and is his only top 10 entry on the chart. On February 26, 2022, about two years after its release, it surpassed one billion streams on Spotify. The song's title refers to Faygo, a brand of soft drinks. The song has since come to be regarded as Lil Mosey's signature song.

A video was released alongside the song, showing Drake quarantined, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also demonstrates the Toosie Slide dance in his Toronto mansion. Yang first gained popularity on the online platform TikTok with his single "Two Moons" and later releases "Toxic" and "Understand". He kept his face hidden until October 10, 2023, shortly after the release of his fourth album Lucid Dreams, at the end of his "Homesick" music video. This was not confirmed until he officially announced the face reveal on his Instagram page also revealing his name. He is currently independent after leaving Mercury Records.

"First Class" is a song by American rapper Jack Harlow, released through Atlantic Records and Generation Now as the second single from Harlow's second album Come Home the Kids Miss You on April 8, 2022. The song was produced by Rogét Chahayed, BabeTruth, Charlie Handsome, Jasper Harris and Nickie Jon Pabón, and heavily samples the 2006 Fergie song "Glamorous", which features Ludacris and was produced by Polow da Don. The song went viral on TikTok before its release.
