Herbert Gleiter

Herbert Gleiter (born 13 October 1938 in Stuttgart) is a German researcher in physics and nanotechnology.

In 1966, he received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Stuttgart in Germany. [1] He received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize in 1988 for contributions to the field of nanotechnology. [2] [3] He became the Chair Professor of the Institute of Material Science at Saarland University, Germany in 1979. [2] He has also held positions at Harvard University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Bochum. [1]

In 2004, he was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering for contributions to the theoretical and practical uses of nanostructured materials.

Since 2012, he is Director and Chair Professor of the 'Herbert Gleiter Institute of Nanoscience' of 'Nanjing University of Science and Technology' of Nanjing in China. [4] In 2019, he received the Advanced Materials Laureate during the 30th IAAM Award Assembly. [5]

Ajay K. Sood Indian physicist

Ajay Kumar Sood is an Indian physicist, researcher and holder of 2 US and 5 Indian patents, known for his pioneering research findings on graphene and nanotechnology. He is a Distinguished Honorary Professor of Physics at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The Government of India honoured him in 2013, with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award, for his contributions to the fields of science and technology. Sood was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in 2015. He has been on the Physical Sciences jury for the Infosys Prize from 2019.

Omowunmi Sadik Nigerian professor, chemist, and inventor

Omowunmi "Wunmi" A. Sadik is a Nigerian professor, chemist, and inventor working at Binghamton University. She has developed microelectrode biosensors for detection of drugs and explosives and is working on the development of technologies for recycling metal ions from waste, for use in environmental and industrial applications. In 2012, Sadik co-founded the non-profit Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization.

Chennupati Jagadish, an Indian-Australian physicist and academic, is a Distinguished Professor of Physics at the Australian National University Research School of Physics and Engineering. He is head of the Semiconductor Optoelectronics and Nanotechnology Group which he established in 1990. He is also the Convener of the Australian Nanotechnology Network and Director of Australian National Fabrication Facility ACT Node.

Rath is an India-born American material physicist and Head of the Materials Science and Component Technology of the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), the corporate research laboratory for the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. Nicole Grobert British-German materials chemist

Nicole Grobert FRSC FYAE is a German-British materials chemist. She is a professor of nanomaterials at the Department of Materials at the University of Oxford, fellow of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, and a Royal Society industry fellow at Williams Advanced Engineering. Grobert is the chair of the European Commission's Group of Chief Scientific Advisors.

Arup Kumar Raychaudhuri is an Indian condensed matter physicist, materials scientist and a Distinguished Emeritus Professor at the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences. Known for his pioneering work on the interplay of disorder and interaction, Raychaudhuri is an elected fellow of all the three major Indian science academies viz. Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences, India and Indian National Science Academy as well as the Asia-Pacific Academy of Materials. He is a recipient of a number of awards such as Millennium Medal of the Indian Science Congress, ICS Gold Medal of the Materials Research Society of India and FICCI Award. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards, for his contributions to physical sciences in 1994.

Albert Nasibulin

Albert Galiyevich Nasibulin is a Russian material scientist recognized for the contributions to synthesis of nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes. Presently he occupies the full professor position at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology and is an adjunct professor at Aalto University (Finland). He is an author of over 300 scientific publications; his H-index is 59. He bears the title of a Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences. A leading academic platform Research.com included Nasibulin among the top material science researchers.
