Matia Kasaija is a Ugandan politician. He is the current Minister of Finance in Uganda's Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 1 March 2015, replacing Maria Kiwanuka, who was appointed to Senior Presidential Advisor for Finance. From 27 May 2011 until 28 February 2015, he served as the State Minister for Finance (Planning) in the Cabinet of Uganda. He replaced Ephraim Kamuntu, who was promoted to Minister of Tourism. Before that, he served as the State Minister for Internal Affairs, from 1 June 2006 until May 2011. He is also the elected Member of Parliament for "Buyanja County", Kibaale District.

Giovanni Kiyingi, is a Ugandan folk singer-songwriter and world music artist. He is known for his skills as a multi-instrumentalist who plays the local Ugandan fiddle (endingidi), akogo, adungu, guitar, harmonica, flute, djembe, calabash, congas, drums, and maracas, among others. He was one of the Ugandan artists chosen to welcome Pope Francis to Uganda at Kololo on 27 November 2015.
Allan Aloysius Ssewanyana, commonly known as ‘Omusajja wa Bwino’ is a Ugandan sports journalist, human resource manager and politician. He is the elected Member of Parliament for Makindye Division West and a representative for the National Unity Platform, the largest opposition political party in Uganda. He is a member of the Committee on Education & Sports and the Committee on Equal Opportunities in the 10th Parliament of Uganda. He is also the Minister for Sports in the Shadow Cabinet.
Janzi Band, sometimes simply Janzi, is a Ugandan afro-fusion, contemporary and world music group formed on 27 August 2009 by Ssewa Ssewa and friends Abraham Sekasi, Jackson Kirya and Steven Oundo. The band has a hybrid repertoire of music, including notable covers as well as an original ethno-pop discography. The band has worked alongside a number of Ugandan musicians, including Lilian Mbabazi and A Pass.
James Ssewakiryanga Junior, professionally known as Ssewa Ssewa, is a Ugandan live performing musician, multi – instrumentalist, founder of Janzi Band and inventor of Janzi, a musical instrument.
Lydia Nabawanuka better known as Lydia Jazmine is a Ugandan female recording artist.
The Uganda Police Band is the sole ensemble of the Uganda Police and the mandated police band of the Republic of Uganda, being stationed in Kampala. It is responsible for playing at police ceremonies and community events. It was founded in the mid-1960s following Ugandan independence. In September 2019, it launched its first affiliated police band in the Lango sub-region.
