The High Court of Lagos State is the highest state court of law in Lagos State. It has several divisions, including Igbosere, Lagos Island, Ikeja, Epe, Ajah, Badagry, and Ikorodu. [1]

Joseph Adefarasin was the Second Chief Judge of Lagos from 1 November 1974 to 24 April 1985.

The governor of Lagos State is the head of government of Lagos State in Nigeria. The governor leads the executive branch of the Lagos State Government. This position places its holder in leadership of the state with command authority over the state affairs. The Governor is frequently described to be the number one citizen of the state. Article II of the Constitution of Nigeria vests the executive power of the state in the governor and charges him with the execution of state law, alongside the responsibility of appointing state executive, diplomatic, regulatory, and judicial officers subject to the approval of the Assembly members.
The Attorney General of Lagos State also known as Lagos State Commissioner for Justice is the head of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice. The officer's duty is to ensure that "the laws of the state are uniformly and adequately enforced". The Attorney General carries out the responsibilities of the office through the Ministry of Justice. The Attorney General is appointed to a four-years term, with a maximum of two terms, by the Governor subject to the approval of the State House of Assembly. The incumbent Attorney General is Lawal Pedro appointed on 13 September 2023.

The Chief Judge of Lagos State is the head of the Lagos State Judiciary, the judicial branch of the Lagos State Government and the chief judge of the High Court of Lagos State. Roseline or Rosaline Ajoke Omotosho, née Shonola - Shoyinka was a Nigerian judge. From 12 April 1995 to 27 February 1996, she was Chief Judge of Lagos State. She was the first female Chief Judge in Nigeria, and indeed in West Africa.

President Donald Trump nominated and appointed Cannon to the federal bench after confirmation by the US Senate in November 2020. Cannon worked for the corporate law firm Gibson Dunn from 2009 to 2012 and was a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of Florida from 2013 to 2020.

Rebuild Lagos Trust Fund is a not-for-profit public-private partnership incorporated on 26 April 2021 as a company limited by guarantee tasked to rebuild, restore or preserve Lagos State public facilities marred by degradation, vandalization and damage through natural or human causes. At initiation, the organization was assigned a portfolio of six public assets at different stages of defacement or degeneration. The structural integrity of the historical buildings however, were either adversely or mildly affected. The six pioneer projects of RLTF were, Iga idunganran Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC); High Court, Igbosere; City Hall Lagos; Fire Service Station, Ikotun Igodun; Lagos State DNA & Forensic Center and Oyingbo Bus Terminal.
