Hightower is a French punk rock band from Paris founded in 2013 by two cousins, Romain Mariani and Jeremie Lombard, who grew up listening to punk rock music from the 1990s. The band is notable for their combination of heavy vocals and intense melodies which create an original mix of energy and thrill. [1] [2]

Biography

Hightower was founded in 2013 by Romain Mariani (drums) and Jeremie Lombard (guitar) . They were later joined by Alexis Calvi (bass), Benjamin Dubois (guitar) and Vincent Crespel (vocals)

In 2014, they recorded their debut album Sure. Fine. Whatever. at The Omen Room Studio in Los Angeles, California. The album was produced by Steve Evetts.

In 2015, their debut album Sure. Fine. Whatever. was released on vinyl and CD by Knives Out Records. [3] In the same year, they toured Europe and UK to promote the record. They also played several shows in France, supporting US bands.

In late 2016, they recorded their second album "Club Dragon" with Steve Evetts at The Omen Room Studio with Attila Racz on vocals.

On May 9, 2017, they signed on Krod Records for the European release. [4]

A first single entitled "The Party" was released on May 22 and the release of the album Club Dragon was planned for September 2017. [5] [6] [7]

Steve Evetts is an American record producer who has produced music for Alesana, Poison the Well, A Static Lullaby, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura, Symphony X, Saves the Day, Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Hightower, Story of the Year, Every Time I Die, Earth Crisis, Still Remains, Our Last Night, and The Wonder Years. Steve Evetts has been an active producer since 1992, producing mostly metal albums, as well as indie, and emo bands.

<i>Sound the Alarm</i> (Saves the Day album) 2006 studio album by Saves the Day

Sound the Alarm is the fifth studio album by American rock band Saves the Day. After signing to major label DreamWorks Records, the band released In Reverie in late 2003. Shortly afterwards DreamWorks Records was absorbed by Interscope Records, resulting in the band being dropped from label. After completing some songs in early 2005, the band was aiming to record in May, hoping to release the album in the fall. Pre-production took place in early August with recording being done at the band's own studio, Electric Ladybug Studios with Steve Evetts as the producer. After recording wrapped up in October, the band immediately undertook a 47-date US tour. Sound the Alarm, along with the later records Under the Boards (2007) and Daybreak (2011) form a trilogy whose theme is self-discovery.

<i>Whatever Happened to Slade</i> 1977 studio album by Slade

Whatever Happened to Slade is the seventh studio album by the British rock group Slade. It was released on 21 March 1977 by Barn Records, but did not enter any national album chart. By the time of the album's release, Slade's popularity was waning as were their record sales, which they acknowledged in the album's title. The glam rock movement, with which Slade was associated, had died, and the careers of other glam rock artists such as Mud, Gary Glitter and Sweet had also died. In Britain, where Slade had traditionally been most popular, the fashion of the day was punk rock. With this album, Slade firmly stood its ground as a straight rock group, and gone were their "glam" statements of the early decade.

It was recorded at Trax East Studio in New Jersey, USA, during May and June 1995 and was released by Jade Tree Records on September 25, 1995. On February 20, 2010, No Idea Records re-released the album on 12" color vinyl.

<i>Live at Last</i> (The Slickee Boys album) 1989 live album by The Slickee Boys

Live at Last is a live album by The Slickee Boys. It was released in April 1989 on the New Rose label on LP and CD; in the US it came out on Giant. Coinciding with the release of their album Fashionably Late, in May 1988 the band embarked on a brief tour of Europe. Live at Last is a document of one night on that tour, at Ubu in Rennes, France. The CD version of this album contain two extra tracks, "Your Autumn Eyes" and "(Are You Gonna Be There at The) Love-In". They perform songs from all but the earliest part of their twelve-year career, including the band's last original song, "This Party Sucks". Cover versions include songs originally by the French punk band the Dogs, the Status Quo, the Afrika Korps, and The Chocolate Watch Band. Not long after their European tour, founding member Kim Kane departed to focus on his other band, Date Bait. He was replaced by long-time roadie/sound guy/guest vocalist John Hanson until the band's farewell show in December 1990.

Rattlesnake! is the fourth and final studio album by post-hardcore band A Static Lullaby. The album was released through Fearless Records on September 9, 2008. The album was produced by Steve Evetts who also produced all previous albums by A Static Lullaby except for Faso Latido which was produced by Lou Giordano. It is their first release to carry the Parental Advisory sticker. This is the last album released by the band before their break-up in January 2012.

Imagine Dragons is an American pop rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of lead singer Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman. The band first gained exposure with the release of their single "It's Time", followed by their award-winning debut studio album Night Visions (2012), which resulted in the chart-topping singles "Radioactive" and "Demons". Todos los días sale el sol is the debut studio album by Spanish alternative rock band Bongo Botrako. It was produced by Mario Patiño and lead vocalist Uri Giné, and was released in Spain on September 27, 2010, on Kasba Music. The album features the most notable hit of the band, "Todos los días sale el sol", which peaked at No. 12 on the Spain Songs chart. Todos los días sale el sol was later also released in France, Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Japan.

Dream Nails is an English all-female DIY punk/riot grrrl band from London founded in 2015. The group identify themselves as “punk witches” and are known for their riotous live shows that mix storming punk guitar with sweet three-part harmonies.

Krod Records is an independent punk rock record label based in Berlin, Germany. Krod Records was created in 2015 in Toulouse, France, and it is owned by Jordan Calvi. The label was named Keine Rose ohne Dornen at the beginning and it evolved into Krod quickly. The label currently has 11 active bands.

The Deadnotes are a pop punk band from Freiburg in Germany founded in 2011 by Jakob Walheim (bassist) and Darius Lohmüller (guitarist). They asked their friend Yannic Arens to join the band as a drummer. The Deadnotes have toured Europe extensively and released two full length records.

I'll Kiss All Fears Out of Your Face is the debut album of the German pop punk band The Deadnotes. This album was released on October 7, 2016 on digital platforms, vinyl through Krod Records, LaserLife Records, Smithsfoodgroup Diy, Sugarferry Records and on CD. It was recorded at Proudly Ugly Studio in Freiburg in Germany by Tiago Fernandes.

<i>Anyone and Everyone</i> 2016 EP by Colour Me Wednesday

Anyone and Everyone is an EP from the pop punk band Colour Me Wednesday. This EP was released on digital platforms and CD on 30 March 2016 and on vinyl 7 inch through Dovetown and Krod Records on 12 July 2016. Wiener Records made a tape version of this EP. It was recorded at Dovetown Recordings and at Wingrove Farm in the United Kingdom. It was mixed and mastered by Luke Yates.
