Hilary L. Link is an American educator who started as president of Drew University on July 1, 2023. She was previously president of Allegheny College from 2019 to 2022, the first woman to hold that position.
Link graduated with a B.A. from Stanford University in 1991. [1] She earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Italian language and literature from Yale University. [2] She began her career in higher education as director of scholar programs at New York University. [3] She went on to become Vice Provost at Barnard College of Columbia University in 2012. [4] Then in 2013 President Link served as dean of Temple University in Rome. [5] In July 2019 President Link became the first woman to become president of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. She served in this position until 2022. [6] While at Allegheny College, Link was one of several people who added letters to a time capsule that will be opened in 2071. [7]
In February 2023, an announcement was made that Link would become the next president of Drew University. [8] On July 1, 2023, Dr. Link became the 15th president of Drew University.
Dr. Link’s achievements include membership in the Stanford University Associates in recognition of her service to Stanford University [9] as well as academic recognitions including the Elizabeth Deering Hanscom Fellowship in the Humanities at Yale University [10] and the Pi Mu Iota Award for highest achievement in the Italian Department at Stanford University. [11] She was selected as a Presidential Fellow by the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA) [12] and received the Administrator of the Year Award from the Barnard College Student Government Association. [13] Additionally, Dr. Link served as vice chair of the Board of Trustees for the American Overseas School of Rome [14] and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Centro Studi Americani. [15] Link was the 2021 recipient of the Pittsburgh Professional Women's Influential Leader Award. [16]
Dr. Link serves on the Climate Leadership Steering Committee of the Presidents’ Climate Leadership Commitments, an oversight body for higher education institutions committed to addressing climate change and preparing students to address 21st-century challenges through research and education. [17] She has also been appointed to a four-year term on the NCAA Honors Committee, where she participates in reviewing nominations and selecting recipients for national awards presented annually at the NCAA Convention. [18] Additionally, Dr. Link is a member of The International Women’s Forum, an invitation-only global network of senior women leaders dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and championing equality worldwide. Dr. Link is married and has three children, ages 19, 16, and 11. [16] [20]

Geraldine Lee Richmond is an American chemist and physical chemist who is serving as the Under Secretary of Energy for Science in the US Department of Energy. Richmond was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate to her role on November 5, 2021. In this position, she oversees the Office of Science, the Applied Energy offices, and 13 of the 17 Department of Energy national laboratories. Before this appointment, Richmond served as a Professor of Physical Chemistry and held the Presidential Chair in Science at the University of Oregon. Her research has focused on understanding the chemistry and physics of complex surfaces and interfaces, using laser-based experimental and theoretical computational methods. These understandings are most relevant to energy production, atmospheric chemistry and remediation of the environment. Throughout her career she has also worked to increase the number and success of women scientists in the U.S. and in many developing countries through the COACh program that she founded in 1999. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. In recognition of her scientific achievements and contributions to women in science, she received the National Medal of Science from President Obama in 2013.
Kiron Kanina Skinner is an American political scientist. She was Director of Policy Planning at the United States Department of State in the first Trump administration. Skinner is presently the Taube Professor of International Relations and Politics at the Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, where she teaches graduate courses in national security and public leadership. Prior to that, she was the Taube Professor of International Relations and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University, and the founding director of the Institute for Politics and Strategy and associated centers at the university. She is also the W. Glenn Campbell Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University. After leaving the Department of State, she returned to her position at Carnegie Mellon University until stepping down in 2021.
