Himanshu Pandya is an Indian professor and academic at Botany Department Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. [1] He earned a MSc and PhD in botany and areas of specialization In vivo and In vitro studies on physiological and biochemical parameters on Gladiolus, Chrysanthemum and Lily. [2] [3]

Career

Pandya taught for 27 years. He is also a professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Forensic Science.[ citation needed ] His research focused on horticulture, plant biotechnology, plant physiology, plant biochemistry, bioinformatics, climate change and impacts management, forensic science, and biochemistry.[ citation needed ]

From 2005 - 2017 he was a Professor in the Department of Botany, Bioinformatics and Climate Change Impacts Management.

In 2017 he became Vice Chancellor of the Gujarat University.[ citation needed ]

M Anwar Hossain is a Bangladeshi scientist, writer, and politician. He is a professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of University of Dhaka and a member of the Standing Committee of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal. He was the 14th vice chancellor of Jahangirnagar University and the former president of the Dhaka University Teachers' Association (DUTA) and Bangladesh Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Hossain was a freedom fighter of the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 during which he served as a staff officer of sector 11. Hossain has been detained and imprisoned twice by military rulers of Bangladesh and has been described by Senator Edward Kennedy as a 'prisoner of conscience'.

Federal University Oye Ekiti is a government owned and operated Nigerian university. The university is in the ancient city of Oye-Ekiti and Ikole-Ekiti making it two campuses. Aditya Narayan Purohit is an Indian scientist and professor who has mainly worked on ecophysiology of tree species and physiology of high altitude medicinal plants. He was born in village Kimni, Dist. Chamoli. He has served as the Vice-Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and as director of the university's High Altitude Plant Physiology Research Center. He was also the Director of Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Himalayan Environment and Development from 1990 to 1995. Purohit was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India, by the President of India in 1997 for his valuable scientific contribution in Indian mountains.

Sudhir Kumar Sopory is an Indian educationist, plant physiologist, scientist and former vice chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is known to be the first to purify a protein kinase C activity from plants and is credited with the identification of topoisomerase as a substrate of protein kinase C. He is an elected Fellow of several major Indian science academies and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and is a recipient of many honours, including the 1987 Shanti Swarup Bhatangar Prize, the highest Indian award in the science and technology categories.
