Hinapia (abbreviated from HiNew Amazing Utopia; stylized in all caps) [1] was a South Korean girl group formed by OSR Entertainment. The group was composed of five members: Minkyeung, Yaebin, Gyeongwon, Eunwoo, and Bada. Hinapia debuted on November 3, 2019 with the single album New Start. They disbanded on August 21, 2020.
Minkyeung, Yaebin, Gyeongwon, and Eunwoo previously debuted as members of the girl group Pristin under Pledis Entertainment on March 21, 2017 with the extended play Hi! Pristin . Following their sophomore release titled Schxxl Out and a subgroup named Pristin V, which included Minkyeung, Yaebin, and Eunwoo, the group disbanded on May 24, 2019 after a prolonged hiatus. On October 21, 2019, the aforementioned members were announced to be re-debuting under AlSeulBit Entertainment, [2] which was renamed OSR Entertainment shortly after, alongside an additional member named Bada. [3] On October 24, the group was revealed to be named Hinapia, [4] which is an abbreviation of "Hi New Amazing Utopia". [1]
Hinapia performed their debut single "Drip" prior to its release on the music program Show Champion during its October 30, 2019 broadcast. [5] The group formally released the single on November 3, 2019 as the lead single of the single album titled New Start. [6] A showcase for the album titled Pursuit of a New Utopia was held the following day. [3] "Drip" debuted and peaked at number 18 on the World Digital Songs Sales chart issued on November 16, 2019, making Hinapia the eleventh South Korean girl group to appear on the chart with their debut single. On February 2, 2020, it had been reported that Hinapia were aiming to release their sophomore album sometime in early 2020, in which the group will showcase "a more mature look than before". [9] However, on August 21, OSR Entertainment announced that the group had disbanded and the members had their contracts terminated. [10]

Choi Sung-hee, known professionally as Bada, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, composer, musical actress and television presenter. She debuted as a member of the South Korean girl group S.E.S. in 1997. After S.E.S. disbanded in December 2002, she released her first solo studio album, A Day of Renew, in October 2003. Since then, she continued her active singing career with songs such as Aurora, Eyes, V.I.P, GoGoGo, Queen, and Mad.

Pristin was a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2016. The group was composed of ten members: Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Kyulkyung, Yehana, Sungyeon, Xiyeon, and Kyla. Most of them appeared on the television show Produce 101 and, as the prize for becoming two of the top contestants, Nayoung and Kyulkyung went on to debut as part of the project girl group I.O.I, before reuniting with the other members to debut as Pristin on March 21, 2017, with the first EP Hi! Pristin. Pristin was known for writing and composing their own music. Following two years without group activities, the group disbanded on May 24, 2019 when only 3 of the 10 members renewed their contract with Pledis Entertainment.

Lim Na-young, also known as Im Nayoung, known mononymously as Nayoung, is a South Korean singer, rapper and actress signed under Sublime Artist Agency. She was first known after participating in the survival show Produce 101 and finishing in tenth place, which made her debut as a member of project girl group I.O.I in 2016. The group was only active for less than one year before disbanding in January 2017. Later that year, she returned to Pledis Entertainment and debuted as a member of Pristin in March 2017. In May 2019, Pristin officially disbanded and Lim later parted ways with the agency. She joined Sublime Artist Agency for her solo activities in August 2019.
Schxxl Out is the second and final extended play by South Korean girl group Pristin. It was released on August 23, 2017, by Pledis Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. The EP consists of five songs, including the single "We Like", which also had a music video released on August 23. The group performed in various Korean music shows to promote the album. This is their last album before their disbandment in May 2019.
