The station was opened on 15 May 1938 and is located on the Valleilijn. The station closed on 7 September 1944 and re-opened 20 May 1951. Valleilijn trains operated by Connexxion call at this station and were previously operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. The station has one platform and since 2006 a park and ride facility called Transferium Barneveld-Noord off the A1 motorway Junction 16.

Leeuwarden railway station is the main railway station in Leeuwarden in Friesland, Netherlands. The station, which opened on 27 October 1863, is on the Arnhem–Leeuwarden railway, the Harlingen–Nieuweschans railway and the Leeuwarden–Stavoren railway. Leeuwarden was also the terminus of the North Friesland Railway which served Anjum and Harlingen via Stiens. Behind the station is a stabling point for many trains. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and Arriva; of the station's six platforms, five are terminating platforms and one is a through platform.

The Zutphen–Glanerbeek railway is a railway line in Gelderland and Overijssel, Netherlands running from Zutphen to the German border at Glanerbrug, passing through Hengelo and Enschede. It is the fourth Staatslijn; "Glanerbeek" is the former name for the Glanerbrug railway station. The line was opened between 1865 and 1868. The section between Enschede and the German border was closed for traffic in 1981, but it was reopened in 2001, although physically disconnected from the Dutch railway network; no Dutch train can enter this stretch and trains coming from Germany can not enter the Dutch network through Enschede.

The Nederlandsche Centraal-Spoorweg-Maatschappij (NCS) was founded on 20 February 1860 in Amsterdam and established in Utrecht from 1876 and was dissolved on 23 May 1934. The Central Railway Utrecht – Amersfoort – Zwolle – Kampen was constructed by the NCS.
