The Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers' Advocate was a newspaper published in Parramatta with coverage and circulation incorporating Greater Western Sydney and parts of North-West Sydney, Australia. First published on 24 September 1887, the paper continued under this title until issue No. 3397, on 15 March 1950, when the newspaper was officially renamed the Cumberland Argus. It remained under this banner for a further 12 years until it ceased publication on 24 October 1962.

The Municipality of Lidcombe was a local government area in the Western region of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The municipality was proclaimed as the Borough of Rookwood on 8 December 1891 and was renamed to the Municipality of Lidcombe, a portmanteau of two mayor's names, in order to differentiate itself from the expanding necropolis, from 15 October 1913. It included the modern suburbs of Rookwood, Lidcombe, Homebush Bay, Berala and parts of Newington, Silverwater, Homebush West and Regents Park. From 1 January 1949, the council was amalgamated into the Municipality of Auburn, with the passing of the Local Government (Areas) Act 1948.
The Victorian Junior Football Association (VJFA) was an open age Australian rules football competition and administrative body. It was the first successful junior football competition in Melbourne, and was in existence from 1883 until 1932. The Holbrook News was a newspaper established in Holbrook, Arizona in 1909. Its founder and initial editor was Sidney Sapp. The paper ceased publication when it merged with The Holbrook Tribune in 1923, and began to be published under the title, Holbrook Tribune and Holbrook News, edited by V. P. Richards. The Tribune had begun publication in 1918. The combined paper continued in publication until January 1934.
James Curtin was an American politician from Arizona. He served a single term in the Arizona State Senate during the 5th Arizona State Legislature, holding the seat from Navajo County. He was one of the largest sheep ranchers in Arizona, at one point serving on the state's Sheep Sanitary Board. He was elected as one of the two delegates from Navajo County to the Arizona Constitutional Convention in 1910. At other points he was the sheriff of Apache County and the treasurer of Navajo County.
