Holidaymaker is a seasonal publication produced by Cambrian News, [1] for publicising tourism attractions and activities in parts of Wales. [2] Since 2009, Holidaymaker can be viewed for free as an online publication.
A full colour print, it lists attractions, activities and ideas of what to do and where to go. Produced in three regional editions covering: Ceredigion & Mid-Wales; Gwynedd; and Pembrokeshire; it is printed in three editions in spring, Easter and summer.

Machynlleth is a market town, community and electoral ward in Powys, Wales and within the historic boundaries of Montgomeryshire. It is in the Dyfi Valley at the intersection of the A487 and the A489 roads. At the 2001 Census it had a population of 2,147, rising to 2,235 in 2011. It is sometimes referred to colloquially as Mach.
Llanberis is a village, community and electoral ward in Gwynedd, northwest Wales, on the southern bank of the lake Llyn Padarn and at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. The Mawddwy Railway was a rural line in the Dyfi Valley in mid-Wales that connected Dinas Mawddwy with a junction at Cemmaes Road railway station on the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway section of the Cambrian Railways.
The Cambrian Way, initially an unofficial long distance footpath in Wales running from Cardiff to Conwy, was officially recognised in 2019. Primarily a mountain walk, it runs over many of the highest and most scenically beautiful areas of Wales. It was pioneered in the 1960s and 1970s by walker Tony Drake, who later produced a guidebook of the walk.

Aberystwyth is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, Aberystwyth means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". Frongoch slate quarry was a slate quarry and mine in Mid Wales, approximately halfway between Aberdovey and Pennal. The quarry was named after a nearby farm of the same name. 'Fron goch' is Welsh for 'Red breast'.
