The Holland Series is the annual championship series of the highest level of professional baseball in the Netherlands. It is the conclusion of the postseason of Honkbal Hoofdklasse, played between the two winners of the league's playoffs. The series was played for two years in the 1970s, then annually beginning in 1987.
The Holland Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven game playoff. Currently, six teams qualify for the playoffs, with the top two teams in the Hoofdklasse regular season earning a bye in the Wildcard round.
Neptunus in Rotterdam has won 20 Holland Series championships, more than any other Dutch club. [1] [2]

SV Amsterdam Pirates, commonly referred to as Amsterdam Pirates, is a Dutch baseball and softball organization based in Amsterdam that plays in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse. It was founded as an expansion of the football club SV Rap on 17 February 1959 by Loek Loevendie. In the first years, it was known as the RAP Pirates, but after a few years the club changed its name according to American tradition and became the Amsterdam Pirates.
The Honkbal Hoofdklasse is the highest level of professional baseball in the Netherlands. It is an eight-team league that plays a 42-game schedule and is overseen by the Royal Netherlands Baseball and Softball Federation (KNBSB).
Shairon Benjamin Martis is a Dutch-Curaçaoan professional baseball pitcher for Curaçao Neptunus of the Honkbal Hoofdklasse. He has previously pitched for the Washington Nationals and Minnesota Twins of Major League Baseball. Martis was a member of the Netherlands in the 2006 World Baseball Classic and the 2013 World Baseball Classic, as well as the 2011 Baseball World Cup. He played for Team Netherlands in the 2019 European Baseball Championship, at the Africa/Europe 2020 Olympic Qualification tournament in Italy in September 2019.
Neptunus is a professional baseball and softball club in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Following its 2014 championship season, the club signed a sponsorship contract for the 2015 through 2017 seasons with Curaçao and competes under the name Curaçao Neptunus. The club has a revenue of 1 million euros.

Robert Franciscus Eenhoorn is a Dutch former professional baseball player and manager. He played four seasons of Major League Baseball as a utility infielder for the New York Yankees and California/Anaheim Angels. On September 27, 1997, Eenhoorn became the first Dutch-born player to hit a home run in the Major Leagues since Jack Lelivelt in 1912. The feat was later repeated by Greg Halman and Didi Gregorius. All other Dutch MLB players to have hit home runs were born elsewhere, mainly in the country's Caribbean territories, most notably the Curaçao natives Andruw Jones and Hensley Meulens.
Rogearvin Argelo "Roger" Bernadina, nicknamed "The Shark," is a Dutch Curaçaoan professional baseball outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Washington Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He also played in the KBO League for the Kia Tigers and in the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) for the Lamigo Monkeys. He was a member of the Dutch national baseball team in international competitions including the World Baseball Classic (WBC).

The 2019 Honkbal Hoofdklasse season began Thursday, April 4. Curaçao Neptunus was the regular season champion, but it lost in the Holland Series to L&D Amsterdam, four games to three.
DSS/Kinheim is a baseball team in Haarlem, the Netherlands that competes in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse. The team is a combination of two Haarlem sports clubs, DSS and Kinheim, which merged in 2020 after DSS had defeated Kinheim in a promotion/relegation playoff. DSS, however, faced financial difficulties staying in the top Dutch baseball league. Kinheim had won Dutch and European titles, but the club abruptly withdrew from the Hoofdklasse in 2016 and was not able to return via the promotion playoff.
