Craghead is a former mining village in County Durham, England. It is located at the bottom of the valley to the south of Stanley, on the main road between Stanley and Durham, and not far from the village of Edmondsley.
Ka Lae, also known as South Point, is the southernmost point of the Big Island of Hawaii and of the 50 United States. The Ka Lae area is registered as a National Historic Landmark District under the name South Point Complex. The area is also known for its strong ocean currents and winds and is the home of a wind farm.

Clough is a village and townland in County Down, Northern Ireland. It sits about 3 miles from Dundrum on the A2 between Newcastle and Belfast. The A2 continues via Downpatrick and the coast via Strangford and the Portaferry - Strangford Ferry to Portaferry to Belfast, whilst most road traffic heads along from Clough along the A24 via Carryduff to Belfast. It had a population of 255 people in the 2001 Census. Clough is situated within the Newry, Mourne and Down area.
Felliscliffe is a civil parish in North Yorkshire, England, in Nidderdale, Harrogate borough. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 283. The principal settlement in the parish is the village of Kettlesing, and the parish also includes the hamlet of Swincliffe. Felliscliffe was historically a township in the ancient parish of Hampsthwaite in the West Riding of Yorkshire, first mentioned in the Domesday Book as Felgesclif, apparently from an Old Danish personal name Felagh.
The Rock is a small village in east County Tyrone, Ireland located approximately 5 miles south-west of Cookstown. The village derives its name from a stone quarry on the site, which operated in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A Mass rock exists in Tullyodonnell, half a mile from the village.
Arrowsmith Township is located in McLean County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 502 and it contained 203 housing units. Arrowsmith Township is named for Ezekiel Arrowsmith (1811–1894), the first supervisor of the township. The township was originally called "Pleasant", but since there was already a Pleasant Township in Illinois, the name was changed in honor of the first superintendent. Arrowsmith Township changed its name from Pleasant Township on May 17, 1858.

The turbines have a tip height of 81 metres, the total installed capacity is 5.95 MW. The wind farm was developed by Your Energy Ltd and is owned by Mistral Windfarms. Engineering Renewables Ltd manage the construction and operation.
Meadow Lake Wind Farm is a 801.25 megawatt (MW) wind farm near Brookston and Chalmers, Indiana, spreading over portions of White, Jasper, and Benton Counties. It is owned and operated by EDP Renewables North America. The facility currently has six operational phases, with 414 turbines, and is a prominent feature on both sides of Interstate 65 in western Indiana.

When phase 1 was completed in May 2004 it was the largest wind farm in Scotland. Humber Gateway Wind Farm is an offshore wind farm 8 km east of Spurn Point off the coast of the North East Lincolnshire, in the North Sea, England; the wind farm is located in water depths around 15 metres (49 ft) and covers an area of approximately 25 square kilometres (9.7 sq mi). The wind farm became operational in June 2015.
Westermost Rough Wind Farm is an offshore wind farm 8 kilometres (5 mi) north east of Withernsea off the Holderness coast, in the North Sea, England. The farm covers an area of approximately 35 km2 (14 sq mi) with a generation capacity of approximately 210 MW. It became operational in May 2015.
The great majority of wind turbines around the world belong to individuals or corporations who use them to generate electric power or to perform mechanical work. As such, wind turbines are primarily designed to be working devices. However, the large size and height above surroundings of modern industrial wind turbines, combined with their moving rotors, often makes them among the most conspicuous objects in their areas. A few localities have exploited the attention-getting nature of wind turbines by placing them on public display, either with visitor centers on their bases, or with viewing areas farther away. The wind turbines themselves are generally of conventional horizontal-axis, three-bladed design, and generate power to feed electrical grids, but they also serve the unconventional roles of technology demonstration, public relations, and education.

Though the season officially began on June 1 and continued until November 30, dates which are adopted by convention and historically describe the period during each year when most tropical cyclones form, it effectively started with the formation of Tropical Storm Alberto on May 25. The season's final storm, Hurricane Oscar, dissipated on October 31.
