Holy Rosary Church is a Roman Catholic church in the Tejgaon area of Dhaka. It is also known as Tejgaon Church and once popularly called the Japmala Queen Church. Under this Catholic church has 17,120 Catholics. Fr. Kamal Andreas Corraya is parish priest of this church and Fr. Mintu Lawrence Palma, Fr. Antony Ripon D' Rozario and Fr. Sony Martin Rodrigues are serving there as assistant parish priest. Each Sunday Catholics gather there for Sunday mass and thousands devotee join there.

Construction

Portuguese Augustinian missionaries introduced Christianity in Dhaka. The second church of Dhaka was built in 1677 at Tejgaon. But this one is the oldest example that can be found.

Renovation

The church was renovated three times. In 1714, 1940 and the last renovation was in 2000.

The difference between the width of walls and the parts of the roof suggest that the eastern part of the Church was built later.

Joy Kali Temple

The Temple of Joy Kali in Dhaka, Bangladesh, is situated between Thathari Bazar and Wari, on a road itself named after this temple, at 24 Joy Kali Temple street. Joy Kali Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to Goddess Kali Ma. People of Hindu religion of every age come to this temple to worship Goddess Kali. The statue of Goddess Kali is of great significance to the Hindus. The visitors and committee members of this temple gather money for occasions, where sweets are later distributed among them which is called 'Prasad'.

Archbishop House also known as Kakrail Church is an architecturally significant residence and church situated in Kakrail, Ramna Thana, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was first built in 1925, with a chapel on the east end. It had evolved 1947 in Lakkibazar and in 1957 it transferred to Kakrail. The present church was renovated in 1976. There are Gothic and Renaissance motifs inside and outside the structure and it is considered to be a fine example of post colonial fusion architecture. The Daily Star reported in 2009 that official listing as a national heritage site was imminent, but six years later the Department of Archaeology was still preparing the list of buildings to be preserved.

Patrick DRozario

Patrick D'Rozario is a Bangladeshi prelate of the Catholic Church who was Archbishop of Dhaka from 2011 to 2020. He became a cardinal in 2016, the first from Bangladesh. He led other dioceses in Bangladesh from 1995 to 2010.

Our Lady of Rosary Church is a Roman Catholic, Kallakurichi, situated in Villupuram district, Tamil Nadu, India. Our Lady of Rosary Church, Kallakurichi has been recognized as a Parish under Diocese of Pondicherry.

Gervas Rozario, D.D. was born on Aug. 15, 1951, at Satiangasa village in Natore. His parents were Peter Rozario and Agatha Costa. He is bishop of Roman Catholic diocese of Rajshahi. In his diocese has 59,630 Catholics.

Marino Rigon was an Italian-Bangladeshi Xaverian missionary priest popularly known as the "friend of Bengalis". Rigon was born in Villaverla, Vicenza, Italy in 1925. In 1953 he moved to the East Bengal province of Pakistan and during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, where he gave shelter and cared for the injured. He lived in Bangladesh as a missionary for sixty years preaching the Gospel among Catholics using the local language (Bengali) and making a tremendous contribution to the Catholic Church of Bangladesh.

Dom Antonio de Rozario was a Christian missionary from Bengal. He was the first writer of Bangla prose.
