Hondo Maclean was a post-hardcore/metalcore outfit from Bridgend, Wales.
Taking their name from a character in 1980s cartoon series M.A.S.K., Hondo Maclean emerged from the South Wales hardcore scene to wider recognition, including touring with former Jackass star Steve-O and engaging in their own headline tour.
They released two EPs and one full-length album, with plans to release a second before they decided to disband in early February, 2007.
Since Hondo Maclean broke up, former members Gavin Burrough and Rich Boucher have both joined Funeral for a Friend, albeit at different times. Also of note is that Johnny Phillips, who drummed for a previous incarnation of Hondo Maclean named Mongrel, was a founding member of Funeral for a Friend.
In of July 2011, a one-night-only reunion show by Hondo Maclean was announced. The show was arranged for 30 December 2011, but tickets promptly sold out, causing the band to arrange another show for the 29 December.
In November 2014, the band released 300 vinyl exclusive copies of The Truth; The Fiction; their second studio album. The album was recorded over six years previously while the band were going under the name of The Future.

The band is composed of lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist Charlie Simpson, guitarist and co-vocalist Alex Westaway, bassist Dan Haigh and drummer Omar Abidi. Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation is the debut studio album by Welsh rock band Funeral for a Friend. It was released on 13 October 2003 through Atlantic Records and was produced by Colin Richardson with co-production by the band themselves. The cover of the album as well as its subsequent singles is based on a small series of paintings by Belgian artist René Magritte titled: "The Lovers".

Casey are a Welsh rock band from South Wales, United Kingdom. Formed in 2014, under the name Well Wisher, the band began as a studio only project by Tom Weaver and Liam Torrance, before expanding into a live performing quintet playing a style of emotional and dynamic music based in hardcore punk, shoegaze and post-rock. Following the release of two studio albums and two EPs, the band disbanded in 2019, however reformed at the end of 2022. Their third studio album How to Disappear was released on 13 January 2024. The band's current lineup consists of Tom Weaver (vocals), Liam Torrance (guitar), Toby Evans (guitar), Max Nicolai (drums) and Adam Smith (bass).
Our Time Down Here was an English punk rock band from Southampton, England, formed in 2006. Their song "Black Ice & Bad Advice" from the album Midnight Mass gained radio play on BBC Radio. NME said, in reference to the band's debut album, "if there's a finer UK hardcore album released this year then I'd really, really really like to hear it". Vice Media referred to them as "UK punk's best-kept secret". Funeral for a Friend lead vocalist Matthew Davies-Kreye and Natives member Jack Fairbrother were outspoken supporters of the band. After the band's separation in 2013, Gould and Miles went on to form Creeper.
Funeral for a Friend / Moments in Grace is a split single by Bridgend, Wales, post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend and St. Augustine, Florida, alternative rock / post-hardcore band Moments in Grace. It was co-released as a clear-colored 7-inch vinyl by Atlantic Records, Salad Days Records, Mighty Atom Records and Infectious Records on April 20, 2004.
Conduit is the sixth studio album by Welsh post-hardcore band Funeral for a Friend. It was released on 28 January 2013 in the UK and 5 February 2013 in the United States. This is the band's first release with former Rise to Remain drummer Pat Lundy, who replaced long-term drummer and vocalist Ryan Richards during the album's production. Throughout the recording of the album the band released several teaser videos that showed the recording of individual instruments.
