The Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences (HKAES) is an engineering science institution based in Hong Kong. It aims on encouraging and maintaining distinction in the field of engineering with useful resolution, and to promote the development of the science, art and practice of engineering for the social well-being.

The Academy was estabilsed on 13 September 1994, by Sir S.Y. Chung, Prof. Yau-Kai Cheung, Sir Charles K. Kao and other engineering scholars in Hong Kong. [1]

Allen Lee Hong Kong politician

Allen Lee Peng-fei, CBE, JP was a Hong Kong industrialist, politician and political commentator. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, serving from 1978 to 1997 and was the Senior Member of the legislature from 1988 to 1991. He was also an unofficial member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong from 1986 to 1992. He was the founding chairman of the Liberal Party, a pro-business party in 1993 until he retired after he lost the 1998 election. After his retirement, he became a political commentator and hosted Legco Review, a RTHK weekly TV programme on the news about Legislative Council, among several other posts.

Sir Sze-yuen Chung, was a Hong Kong politician who served as a Senior Member of the Executive and Legislative Councils during the 1970s and 1980s in the colonial period and the first Non-official Convenor of the Executive Council in the SAR period. For his seniority in the Hong Kong political arena, he was nicknamed the "Great Sir" and "Godfather of Hong Kong politics".

Chung King-fai

Chung King-fai, SBS, is a Hong Kong actor and pioneer of contemporary performing art. He is also a director, TV producer, programme host and performing arts educator. He is the founder and president of the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies, Art Form Panels of the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Chairman of Exploration Theatre, and Art Director of Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

Raymond Ho Chung-tai was, from 1998 to 2012, a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Legco), representing the engineering industry in functional constituencies seats. During his tenure in the legislature, he was a member of Professional Forum, formerly known as the Alliance a pro-Beijing group in Legco. In 2012, he lost the election to Lo Wai-Kok a member of BPA, a pro-Beijing group.

<i>Painted Faces</i> 1988 Hong Kong film directed by Alex Law

Painted Faces is a 1988 Hong Kong biographical drama film co-written and directed by Alex Law and starring Sammo Hung as his mentor, Master Yu Jim-yuen of the China Drama Academy. For his portrayal as Master Yu, Hung won his second Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor at the 8th Hong Kong Film Awards. The film was selected as the Hong Kong entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 62nd Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Korea, is the senior national organization of distinguished Korean scientists and scholars. It was founded to promote learning and research in all areas of sciences by conferring membership and preferential treatment to those who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of sciences and learning. Forensic Heroes III is a 2011 Hong Kong police procedural television drama produced by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). It stars Wayne Lai, Maggie Cheung, Kate Tsui, Ron Ng, Aimee Chan, Edwin Siu, Nancy Wu & Ruco Chan in the reboot of the Forensic Heroes series, featuring new stories and characters.
