Hong Kong ICT Awards is a technology-related award in Hong Kong, organised annually by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer of the Innovation and Technology Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong. [1]

The eight categories of the award include Smart Business, Digital Entertainment, FinTech, ICT Startup, Smart Living, Smart People, Smart Mobility, and Student Innovation. The recipients attract widespread media coverage every year. [2] [3] [4] [5]

Kwan Wai Pang, known professionally as Teddy Robin, is a Hong Kong English pop singer-songwriter, actor, and director and producer. He began his music career in mid 1960s when Hong Kong English pop was at its peak. He formed a rock and roll band with his friends called Teddy Robin and the Playboys while Teddy was the vocal and guitarist. The band was the first Chinese-led rock band in Hong Kong. The band became a massive hit in Hong Kong.

The Information Technology and Broadcasting Bureau is a former policy bureau of the Government of Hong Kong, which was responsible for managing Hong Kong's broadcasting services, developing the film industry, promoting Hong Kong's telecommunications, and providing support to the application of Information Technology within the Government. The Bureau is led by the Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, currently Dong Sun.

Scenic Hill Tunnel is a road tunnel located on the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge, in Scenic Hill, Chek Lap Kok, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The west exit of the tunnel is near the Ngong Ping 360 Airport Island Angle Station and the fuel storage centre. It runs through Scenic Hill and along the current Airport Road and under the MTR Airport Express lines, and passes through the new reclamation areas, connecting the Hong Kong road sections and the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge port.

Wong Ho-wa is a Hong Kong data scientist and pro-democracy activist. He led the open government data community g0vhk from 2016 to 2021. He was an Election Committee member representing the information technology (IT) industry from 2016 to 2021 and ran for the Information Technology constituency in the 2020 Hong Kong legislative election as part of the pro-democratic caucus.

The Hong Kong Information Technology Workers' Union was a trade union of IT workers in Hong Kong. It was affiliated with the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions, which also dissolved in 2021.

The Golden Melody Jury Award is a Golden Melody Award presented by the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan, established in the 18th Golden Melody Awards in 2007 to honor an extraordinary body of work that the jury decides to be unique and exemplary. According to the Golden Melody Award, the award does not objectively judge under a set of criteria, but can only hand out the award if more than two-thirds of the jury decides to recognize the work after review and discussion. The award is not given if the jury does not meet a consensus.

Keith Lam is a Hong Kong new media artist. He is the co-founder and artistic director of Dimension Plus, an arts & technology team based in Hong Kong and Taiwan, dedicated to the creation and curation of artistic and technological projects.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Digital Policy Office</span> Department of the Hong Kong government

The Digital Policy Office is an agency of the Hong Kong government established in 2024, in charge of policy and regulation of information technology, information security, telecommunications and strengthening digitalization in Hong Kong. The Digital Policy Office is established by merging the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Efficiency Office (EffO), both under the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau. The DPO is led by the Commissioner for Digital Policy ranked at Government Chief Information Officer.
