Hoover's Sports Ground was a cricket ground in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. The site of the ground was previously the site of a disused railway siding. The Hoover Company, a major employer in the town, bought the site and levelled it. A cricket ground with changing facilities was constructed, with the square being ready by 1953. [1] The first recorded match held on the ground came 1959, when Somerset, Ebbw Vale and Hoovers XI played Glamorgan. [2]

In 1988, Glamorgan played Kent in a List-A match in the 1988 Refuge Assurance League. The following season the ground held its second and final List-A match when Glamorgan played Middlesex in the 1989 Refuge Assurance League. [3]

Following the 2009 season, the ground became disused.

Middlesex fielded first, and bowled the hosts out for 130 off 37.1 overs, despite Steve Goldsmith's 61. Angus Fraser returned figures of 8-2-8-3. Rain curtailed the match during the Middlesex reply with the score at 32/0 after 10.2 overs, and, as insufficient overs had been bowled according to the competition rules, the match was considered a no result.

May's Bounty is a cricket ground situated along Bounty Road in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. The ground is compact and is lined on all sides by trees, with its northern side overlooked by residential housing. The Bounty was used intermittently by Hampshire County Cricket Club in the early 20th-century, before Hampshire began to play there annually from 1966 to 2000.
