Aberdeen is a city in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. The population was 17,013 at the 2020 census. The city is the most populous in Grays Harbor County and the region's economic center, bordering the cities of Hoquiam and Cosmopolis. Aberdeen is occasionally referred to as the "Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula".

Hoquiam is a city in Grays Harbor County, Washington, United States. It borders the city of Aberdeen at Myrtle Street, with Hoquiam to the west. The two cities share a common economic history in lumbering and exporting, but Hoquiam has maintained its independent identity. It shares a long rivalry with its more populated neighbor, especially in high school sports.

The high school is located near the geographic center of Alexandria and is referred to informally as the "Titans" by students, faculty and locals. Grays Harbor is an estuarine bay located 45 miles (72 km) north of the mouth of the Columbia River, on the southwest Pacific coast of Washington state, in the United States. It is a ria, which formed at the end of the last ice age, when sea levels flooded the Chehalis River. The bay is 17 miles (27 km) long and 12 miles (19 km) wide. The Chehalis River flows into its eastern end, where the city of Aberdeen stands at that river's mouth, on its north bank, with the somewhat smaller city of Hoquiam immediately to its northwest, along the bayshore. Besides the Chehalis, many lesser rivers and streams flow into Grays Harbor, such as the Hoquiam River and Humptulips River. A pair of low peninsulas separate it from the Pacific Ocean, except for an opening about two miles (3 km) in width. The northern peninsula, which is largely covered by the community of Ocean Shores, ends in Point Brown. Facing that across the bay-mouth is Point Chehalis, at the end of the southern peninsula upon which stands the town of Westport.

Shelton High School is a senior high school located in Shelton, Washington. Shelton High School is a class 2-A high school and was restructured starting with the 2004–2005 school year to be a Grade 10-12 High School. More than 1600 students, grades 9–12, are enrolled at SHS. Built in 1975, it replaced Irene S. Reed High School, Shelton's first high school.
The Grays Harbor Loggers was the primary name of the minor league baseball team that represented the communities of Grays Harbor, Washington, Hoquiam, Washington and Aberdeen, Washington. Grays Harbor played as members of the Class A Short Season Northwest League from 1976 to 1980.
Sierra Canyon School (SCS) is a private, coeducational university-preparatory day school located in Los Angeles, California. Sierra Canyon enrolls students in preschool through grade 12.
The Port of Grays Harbor is a port authority in Grays Harbor County, in the U.S. state of Washington. The Port owns waterfront facilities in Aberdeen and Hoquiam; Bowerman Airport near Hoquiam, the only jet-capable airport on the Washington coast; and the grounds of the former Satsop Nuclear Power Plant in Satsop, which it bought in 2013 to turn into a business park. The port was established in 1911, in what was then Chehalis County. The deep-draft pier and terminal opened in September 1922 and by 1924, more than one billion board feet of lumber had been shipped. By the 2010s other industries had become more prominent, including imported and exported automobiles transported via roll-on/roll-off ships and a rental car reconditioning facility for cars destined to auction. It is the West Coast's largest automobile export port and the United States' closest deepwater port to Asia. At the time of its construction it was the only deepwater port on the Pacific north of San Francisco, and it remains Washington's only Pacific Coast deepwater port.
