Hornskrokens IF is a sports club in Boden, Sweden. It was established on 23 May 1933 [1] and runs handball, earlier even bandy, soccer, orienteering and skiing. In 1983, the club played in the qualifying rounds for the Handball Allsvenskan.

The women’s soccer team played five seasons in the Swedish top division between 1978 and 1986. [2]

Eskilstuna Guif is a handball club based in Eskilstuna, Sweden, which currently competes in Handbollsligan, the top domestic handball league. The club was founded in 1896, as Godtemplarnas Ungdoms- och Idrottsförening. They have reached the Swedish Championship final four times, but lost on each occasion. They also finished first in the regular season in 2011-12 and 2013–14, but were eliminated in the semi-finals in both these seasons. They have played 54 seasons in the top division, second only to Redbergslid, and are fourth in the all-time table of the league.

Borlänge HK is a handball club in Borlänge in Sweden, established in 1947. The club won the Swedish women's national championship in 1970, 1973 and 1978. The women's team played 11 seasons in the Swedish top division between 1971–1972 and 1995–1996. and the men's team played in the Swedish top division during the 1984–1985 season. After winning Division 2 during the previous season, the women's team have advanced to Div 1 North as of season 2020–2021. The men's team won div 2 in 2022, and advanced to div 1 North from season 2023–2024.

SoIK Hellas is a sports club in Stockholm, Sweden, established on 14 May 1899 as Pastorns gossar by Katarina Parish confirmation priest Ernst Klefbeck, before changing name to SoIK Hellas in 1912, also on the initiative of Ernst Klefbeck. Nowadays running bowling, track and field athletics, handball, swimming, orienteering, tennis, and water polo, the club earlier also ran soccer, table tennis, fencing, gymnastics, cross-country skiing, diving, ski orienteering, and squash. The men's water polo team has won Swedish championship titles.

IF Hallby is a sports club in Jönköping, Sweden, established on 7 April 1929. It originally ran cross-country skiing, soccer, track and field athletics and ice skating, and the club won the 1932 speed skating district team championship. Handball was adopted in 1933 and orienteering in 1934. On 1 June 2001, the club became an alliance club.

Västerås BK30 is a sports club in Västerås, Sweden, established on 29 November 1929 as a merger of IK City and IK Sture and named after 1930, the year it joined the Swedish Sports Confederation. Trollhättans IF or TIF, is a football club in Trollhättan, Sweden, which was founded in 1906. The association's first team were merged in 2001 with Trollhättan KC to FC Trollhättan. Trollhättan IF's first team played then in division 6 through the 2009 season, when the club won its series and moved up to Division 5, where they are currently playing.

IFK Gävle was a sports club in Gävle, Sweden. It was founded on 12 March 1897 and the club used the old spelling of their home town's name, IFK Gefle, until 1943.

The 1943–44 Svenska mästerskapet was the 13th season of Svenska mästerskapet, a tournament held to determine the Swedish Champions of men's handball. Teams qualified by winning their respective District Championships. 19 teams competed in the tournament. Majornas IK were the two-time defending champions, and won their fifth title, defeating IFK Karlskrona in the final. The final was played on 2 April in Karlskrona, and was watched by 1,499 spectators.

Västerås HF was a Swedish handball club based in Västerås. The club was founded in 1934. In 1942–43, the club made its debut in both the top division, Allsvenskan, and Svenska mästerskapet (SM), the tournament held to determine the Swedish champions. They finished fifth in the league, and reached the SM final, where they were defeated by Majornas IK. In the following season they reached the semifinals in SM, but were again defeated by Majornas IK. They reached the SM quarterfinals in 1945–46, 1946–47 and 1947–48. In 1947–48 they were also relegated from the top division and never returned. They reached the semifinals in SM in 1949–50, where they lost against Örebro SK. Västerås HF reached the SM quarterfinals in 1950–51 and 1951–52, after which the tournament was discontinued and the Swedish champions were determined by the league.

Irsta HF were a Swedish handball club based in Västerås. The club was founded in 1965. They were promoted to the top division, at the time known as Elitserien, in 1989. In their debut season in the top-flight, they finished fourth and qualified for the playoffs. They were eliminated in the semifinals by HK Drott. In the following season, they finished second in the league and defeated Ystads IF in the semifinals. They lost the final series against HK Drott. They participated in the EHF Cup Winners' Cup in 1991–92, but were eliminated by RK Crvena zvezda in the round of 16. They continued to play in Elitserien until they were relegated in 1996, but never again reached the playoffs.
