Horst Gnas (born 3 September 1941) is a retired German cyclist who specialized in motor-paced racing. In this discipline he won the UCI Motor-paced World Championships in 1971-1973 and finished second in 1970. He teamed with the famous Dutch pacer Bruno Walrave. [1]
His wife was fatally injured in a car accident while he was competing at the 1973 World Championships, leaving him with two daughters of eight and ten years old. Gnas retired from competitions in 1977 due to injuries, remarried, and opened two cleaning companies in Nuremberg and Röthenbach an der Pegnitz. His second wife Renata died in October 2008 of a sudden organ failure. [2]

The 1975 Brazilian Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Interlagos on 26 January 1975. It was race 2 of 14 in both the 1975 World Championship of Drivers and the 1975 International Cup for Formula One Manufacturers. It was the fourth Brazilian Grand Prix since its introduction in 1972. The race was won by São Paulo native Carlos Pace driving a Brabham BT44B. It was the only win of Pace's career; he was killed in an aircraft accident two years later. Since 1985, the circuit holds his name. It would be eight years before another Brazilian would win the Grand Prix. Fellow Brazilian Emerson Fittipaldi finished second in his McLaren M23 with his German teammate Jochen Mass finishing third.

Frank GardnerOAM was a racing driver from Australia. Born in Sydney, he was best known for touring car racing, winning the British Saloon Car Championship three times, and sports car racing driver but he was also a top flight open wheeler driver. He was European Formula 5000 champion, and participated in nine World Championship Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 11 July 1964. He scored no championship points. Gardner also participated in numerous non-Championship Formula One races and his results included a third placing at the 1965 Mediterranean Grand Prix at the Autodromo di Pergusa in Sicily, fourth in the 1965 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch and third in the 1971 International Gold Cup at Oulton Park. He participated each year in the open wheeler Tasman Series held in New Zealand and Australia during the European winter, and shared the grids with the likes of Jim Clark, Graham Hill and Jochen Rindt and won the New Zealand Grand Prix.
Rainer Podlesch is a retired German cyclist who was active between 1966 and 1983. He won a silver medal at the 1968 Summer Olympics in the 4000 m team pursuit. In this event he competed for the West Germany team in the preliminaries, but was replaced in the final due to injury. At the next Olympics he took part in the 100 km team time trial and finished in 20th place.
Theo Verschueren is a retired Belgian cyclist. He had his best achievements in motor-paced racing, in which he won the world championships in the professionals category in 1971 and 1972 and finished second in 1969, 1970 and 1974. During his career Verschueren took part in 67 six-day road races, winning the race of Antwerp in 1968 and 1972.
René Kos is a retired cyclist from the Netherlands. He had his best achievements in motor-paced racing, winning the world championships in 1981 and finishing in second place in 1983; he also finished second in 1980 but was disqualified for failing the doping test. He won the national motor-paced cycling championships in 1981, 1982, 1984 and 1985.
Ehrenfried Rudolph is a retired German cyclist who was active between 1957 and 1973. He won three medals at the UCI Motor-paced World Championships in 1966, 1968 and 1970, including a gold medal in 1970.
