In 2005, Steve Wariner re-recorded a new version of this song for his second studio album that he released on his own SelecTone Records titled "This Real Life". The re-recorded version was not released as a single.
Morgan Sorne, known in his solo music project as SORNE, is an American singer-songwriter, composer, multi-media artist, music producer, and actor based in Los Angeles, California. His musical style has been described tribal, electronica, avant-garde, avant pop, alternative rock, and electro-space-folk. Though sometimes associated with the broad genre of rock, his songs feature no electric guitars, conventional bass instruments, or conventional drum sets. His music uses layered vocal samples and unconventional instrumentation. He was a Texas Biennial artist in 2009, and in 2013 won the Austin Chronicle 2013 Avant Garde Artist of the Year award.

Peter Stone is a fictional character portrayed by Philip Winchester. Peter was initially a guest character as part of a backdoor pilot in the third season of the police procedural Chicago P.D. Following the success of the backdoor pilot and his character, Winchester was cast as a main character in Chicago Justice, a spin-off of Chicago P.D. During the character's time in the Chicago franchise a guest appearance was also made in Chicago Med. Following the cancellation of Chicago Justice, Winchester was cast as a series regular in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He departed SVU ahead of the series' twenty-first season.
