Hudson Ralph Janisch (died 1890) was Governor of St Helena from 1873 until his death in 1890. He is the only St Helena-born governor of the island.
During his tenure as Governor, he was forbidden to reside at Plantation House, the governor's official residence, on economic grounds.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Collection was formed by instruction from the Secretary of State for the Colonies on 23 April 1890 to all territories under his authority. Warren ran for re-election as the Republican nominee against former Territorial Governor George W. Baxter, the Democratic nominee. Warren defeated Baxter by a decisive margin and became the first popularly elected Governor of Wyoming.
