Hunter Ward is an Australian rugby union player, who most recently played for the Waratahs. His preferred position is flanker. [1]
Ward is from Orange, New South Wales, [2] and moved to the coast to represent Manly at club level, where he earned the nickname the 'Combat Wombat'. [3]
Ward was called into the Waratahs squad ahead of Round 6 of the 2023 Super Rugby Pacific season. [4] He made his debut in this match against the Brumbies, before making a further appearance in Round 9 starting against the Blues, [5] before departing at the end of the season.

The 1996 Super 12 season was the inaugural season of the Super 12, contested by teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The season ran from February to May 1996, with each team playing all the others once. At the end of the regular season, the top four teams entered the playoff semifinals, with the first placed team playing the fourth and the second placed team playing the third. The winner of each semifinal qualified for the final, which was contested between the Auckland Blues and Natal Sharks, with the Blues winning 45–21 to win the first Super 12 title.

He is currently the first grade head coach at Randwick and was previously head coach of the LA Giltinis in Major League Rugby (MLR) where he won a championship in the team's inaugural season.

Super Rugby Women's is an annual professional women's rugby union club competition organised by Rugby Australia. It is contested by five clubs from Australia and one club from Fiji, who play a single series of round-robin matches to determine the four participants of a single-elimination tournament.
