Hus Forbi is a street newspaper in Denmark. Founded in 1996, the newspaper is published monthly with a circulation of about 90,000. [1] It is sold by 2,750 homeless or formerly homeless people on the streets outside supermarkets, train stations and alike. [2] It is sold for 20 kroner and the seller earns 8 kroner. [3] [4] The articles mainly deal with homeless issues and homeless are involved in the editorial work. [4] There is also a Hus Forbi Advent calendar. [1] To avoid fraud, the sellers are certified and have an identification card with their photo, name and number, which has to be visible. [2] [5]

The papers attempted to be a voice for the homeless and content was entirely dedicated to homeless issues, much of it written by current or former homeless. It was a monthly magazine of 16 pages and as of 2004 had a circulation of 5,000 copies sold by 15–20 vendors. Sellers were often at The West Side Market, Public Square, E. 9th St., East 12th and Coventry.

Havnegade

Havnegade is a waterfront promenade in central Copenhagen, Denmark, which runs between Knippelsbro and the mouth of the Nyhavn canal. Most of the street is lined with buildings from the 1860s and 1870s that were constructed as part of the redevelopment of the Gammelholm navel dockyards. It is the only place along Copenhagen's main harbourfront where residential buildings of that age face the water, although older warehouses and other industrial buildings elsewhere have been converted into residential use. The Modernist Bank of Denmark building is located at the western end of the street.

Pressens Hus, home to the Danish Media Association, a membershop organisation body representing printed and digital media industry in Denmark, is situated at Skindergade 7 in central Copenhagen. The building consists of a former commerce house from 1903 and a Modernist infill extension by Erik Korshagen from 1976. which was listed in 1992.

Homelessness in Denmark is considered a significant social issue in the country. Since 2007, comprehensive counts have been performed every other year in week six. The latest, from 2017, counted 6,635 homeless people in Denmark. The total number of people experiencing homelessness at some point in 2017 was estimated at 13,000, while earlier estimates have placed it between 10,000 and 15,000. Roughly half the homeless are in the Capital Region. When compared to many other countries, such as the United States, the rate of Denmark's homeless is significantly lower, which has been linked to the relatively comprehensive welfare system.

Hjernerystelsesforeningen is a Danish non-profit and non-governmental organization that strives to help people suffering from concussion and post-concussive syndrome, as well as working towards better understanding and a cure. Founded in 2013, the volunteers and staff nationwide have helped to provide support and resources to those affected.

Skive Stadium Danish association football stadium

Skive Stadium is an athletics- and association football stadium located in Skive, Denmark, owned and operated by Skive Municipality. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is the home stadium of Skive Idrætsklub and Skive Atletik- og Motionsklub (athletics). The stadium is part of a sport center, which since 2007 has also consisted of a multi-purpose hall named Spar Nord Arena, while the stadium itself includes IAAF certified athletics and sports facilities such as six round lanes, eight straight lanes, starting blocks, electronic timing, two tracks for the long jump and triple jump, pole vault and three throw cages surrounding an association football field. The ground has a lighting installation with a light intensity of 500 lux and have been approved for televised Danish 1st Division matches by the Danish FA. Apart from hosting matches for the second highest football league, the stadium has also staged two men's youth friendlies and two European women's youth qualification games, one for the Danish national youth team. It has been known as Hancock Arena for sponsorship reasons since July 2018 and have previously been referred to as Sparbank Arena (2010–2012), Spar Nord Arena (2012–2018) and SIK Arena (2018).

Dronning Olgas Vej

Dronning Olgas Vej is a street in the Mariendal neighborhood of Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, Denmark. It runs from Falkoner Allé in the east to a modernist housing estate adjacent to Nordre Fasanvej in the west from where it turns south to join King Georgs Vej. The Modernist housing estate was built in the 1970s in the former grounds of the Stjernen cooperative brewery. Most of the other buildings in the street are single family detached homes from the late 19th and early 20th century.

Philip de Lange House

The Philip de Lange House, built in association with a nitrary in the 1750s, is the Rococo-style former home of Dutch-Danish architect and master builder Philip de Lange at Prinsessegade 54 in the Christianshavn neighborhood of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was from 1877 to 1864 part of the Royal Porcelain Manufactory's Christianshavn factory and is now hidden from the street by a school building from 1865. The house was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places in 1932. It is now part of Christianshavn School and houses the school's after school programmes.
