The Adolescents are an American punk rock band formed in Fullerton, California in 1979. Part of the hardcore punk movement in southern California in the early 1980s, they were one of the main punk acts to emerge from Orange County, along with their peers in Agent Orange and Social Distortion. Founding bassist Steve Soto was the sole constant member of the band since its inception until his 2018 death, with singer Tony Reflex being in the group for all but one album.
The Orange County Supertones were a Christian ska band from Orange County, California. The band was signed to Tooth & Nail Records and its imprint, BEC Recordings, before becoming an independent band. Christopher Higgins, best known by his stage name Higgins X-13, is an American musician. He performed as backup guitar/vocal/keyboard/percussion player in the punk rock band The Offspring from 1994 to 2005. He provided backing vocals for Offspring's studio albums between Americana and Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. During his 11 years with the band, he performed live with the Offspring on tour and made an appearance in the music video for "Why Don't You Get a Job?". When the Offspring was not on the road, Higgins ran the lead singer's studio and produced the demo recording of upcoming Offspring albums. Higgins also played guitar and did some vocals in the bands Gentleman Jack, All the Madmen and Good Kitty.
Steve Soto was an American musician. Soto was the founding bassist of California punk rock bands Agent Orange and the Adolescents. Soto was also a member of Legal Weapon, Joyride, Manic Hispanic, Punk Rock Karaoke, and the punk supergroup 22 Jacks. Soto also fronted his own band, Steve Soto and the Twisted Hearts, starting in 2008.

Jason Thornberry is an American writer and musician. His tenure with the Southern California alternative-punk group Mulch saw them perform 200 times in two years as an unsigned band. Mulch performed with No Doubt and NOFX in the early 1990s. Thornberry founded The Pressure, who went from complete obscurity to the cover of OC Weekly less than a year after their first concert. In 1999, The Pressure was readying the release of their debut album Things Move Fast, when Thornberry was discovered in a coma after being beaten nearly to death. Four months later, he was released in a wheelchair. Within a year he was walking again, and Thornberry had begun to document the experience. He continued to see therapists, having also temporarily lost the ability to speak, or to use the left side of his body, as a result of the assault.
OC Confidential is the fourth studio album by the American punk rock band the Adolescents, released in July 2005 on Finger Records. It was their first studio album since 1988, and followed their reunion in 2001 after a twelve-year breakup. The album features founding band members Tony Reflex, Frank Agnew, and Steve Soto, joined by drummer Derek O'Brien. It was the final Adolescents album to include Agnew, and their only studio album with O'Brien.
