Tiger beetles are a family of beetles, Cicindelidae, known for their aggressive predatory habits and running speed. There are some accounts that the spines can be shot like arrows, thus making the manticore a lethal predator.

Manticora is a Danish heavy metal band from Hvidovre formed in 1996 by Lars and Kristian Larsen. Their current label is Nightmare Records.
