Byåsen Idrettslag is a multi-sport club from Trondheim, Norway. It has sections for association football, athletics, handball, orienteering, Nordic skiing, and cycling.
Fannefjorden is a fjord located in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is a 20-kilometre (12 mi) long extension of the Moldefjorden, running east–west near the south side of the Romsdal peninsula. The fjord begins just east of the city of Molde on the north shore with the island of Bolsøya on the south side. It is believed that "Fannefjorden" is very old name, and perhaps a name originally applied to the whole area.
Jan Andreas Schmid is a Norwegian former nordic combined skier, of Swiss origin. He won two medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec with a silver in the 10 km individual normal hill event and a bronze in the 4 x 5 km team event. Competing two Winter Olympics for Switzerland, he earned his best finish of fourth in the 4 x 5 km team event at Turin in 2006. Schmid also competed in two World Championships for Switzerland. At the 2010 Winter Olympics for Norway, he finished fifth in the 4 x 5 km team event.
Røa IL is a Norwegian sports club from Røa in the borough of Vestre Aker, Oslo. It was founded on 11 November 1900, and has sections for football, gymnastics, bandy, and cross-country skiing. Football, bandy, and Nordic skiing have been dominant in Røa. In bandy, the team has twice made it to the finals in the Norwegian cup, losing both to arch-rivals Stabæk. It is located on the north shore of the Fannefjorden, about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of the village of Kleive and about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) east of the town of Molde. The European route E39 highway runs through the village on its way northeast from the town of Molde to the village of Batnfjordsøra in Gjemnes Municipality.
