The Sa'ar 4.5-class missile boats is a class of Israeli Sea Corps missile boats designed and built by Israel Shipyards Ltd. as an improved and stretched Sa'ar 4-class missile boat. There are two different subclasses that are both named Sa'ar 4.5. The first subclass was initially called Chochit, but renamed to Aliya. Two Aliya-subclass boats are in service with the Mexican Navy. The second subclass was initially called Nirit but renamed to Hetz.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), formerly called Mazagon Dock Limited, is a shipyard situated in Mazagaon, Mumbai. It manufactures warships and submarines for the Indian Navy and offshore platforms and associated support vessels for offshore oil drilling. It also builds tankers, cargo bulk carriers, passenger ships and ferries.
Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is an Indian Government owned ship building company located on the West Coast of India at Vasco da Gama, Goa. It was established in 1957, originally by the colonial government of the Portuguese in India as the "Estaleiros Navais de Goa", to build barges to be used in Goa's growing mining industry, which took off after the establishment of India's blockade of Goa in 1955. The Makar-class survey catamarans are a series of six 500 ton steel hull/aluminium superstructure Hydrographic Survey Catamarans being built by Alcock Ashdown (Gujarat) Ltd at its Bhavnagar shipyard for the Indian Navy. The ships are designed by an Australian naval architecture firm Sea Transport Solutions, which is based on Queensland's Gold Coast. The deal is likely to be canceled due to the delays as the Navy is not satisfied with the timeline and a fresh award for construction of another class of survey vessels to the GRSE has also been undertaken.
The Pulicat class of patrol boats were a series of five water craft of Russian origin, which were in service of Indian Navy and were later-on transferred to newly formed Indian Coast Guard in 1977. MCGS Huravee was originally INS Tillanchang, a Trinkat-class patrol vessel of the Indian Navy. The vessel was designed and constructed by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers in Kolkata, West Bengal. Tillanchang was named after Tillangchong Island sometimes also called Tillanchang and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 17 March 2001. She was transferred to the Maldivian Coast Guard on 16 April 2006 as MCGS Huravee. As part of the transfer, technical and material assistance was provided by the Indian Navy for a period of three years. The Indian Navy also stationed a team of personnel for a preliminary period and on-the-job training of the Maldivian crew. Huravee was successfully refitted at Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard in November 2018. The refit was an initiative by Indian Navy to boost its diplomatic outreach to friendly foreign navies in the Indian Ocean Region.
