Lip Synch is a series of five 1989-1990 short films made by Aardman Animations which used vox pops as inspiration for their subject matter. They were commissioned by Channel 4. Nick Park's contribution to the series was the film Creature Comforts, which later won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short of 1990. Channel 4 screened the films as part of their Four-Mations UK season in November 1990.
Eoin Duffy is an Irish director of animation now living and working in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Eoin has created a body of independent work that has gone on to secure multiple accolades including three Oscar accredited festival wins, a nomination for the 2014 European Film Awards a shortlisting for the 86th Academy Awards, and a nomination at the 5th Canadian Screen Awards. He also worked on some animated shorts for Arts x Radio by CBC Arts.

Noah is a Canadian short drama film, released in 2013. Written and directed by Walter Woodman and Patrick Cederberg as a class project when they were film students at Ryerson University, the film tells the story of Noah's breakup with his girlfriend Amy entirely through Noah's use of computer applications such as Facebook, Skype, YouTube, Chatroulette and iTunes.
The Ballad of Immortal Joe is a Canadian animated short film, which premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival. Diane Obomsawin is an Abenaki Quebec-based author, illustrator and animated filmmaker, often known by her pseudonym, Obom. Some of her notable works have explored the issue of lesbian first love, including a 2014 graphic novel, published in French as J'aime les filles by L'Oie de Cravan and in English as On Loving Women by Drawn & Quarterly. J'aime les filles was adapted as a 2016 National Film Board of Canada animated short, I Like Girls , which received the Nelvana Grand Prize for Independent Short at the 40th Ottawa International Animation Festival.
Blind Vaysha is a 2016 animated short by Theodore Ushev, produced by Marc Bertrand for the National Film Board of Canada, with the participation of ARTE France. Based on a story by Georgi Gospodinov, the film tells the story of a girl who sees the past out of her left eye and the future from her right—and so is unable to live in the present. Montreal actress Caroline Dhavernas performed the narration for the film, in both its French and English language versions. The film incorporates music from Bulgarian musician and composer Kottarashky and is his and Ushev's fourth collaboration.
I Am the Blues is a 2015 Canadian documentary film directed by Daniel Cross. The film explores the culture of blues music, beginning at the Blue Front Cafe in Bentonia, Mississippi and expanding outward to profile many of the oldest blues musicians who are still performing on the traditional African American Chitlin' Circuit.

The Hat is a Canadian animated short film, directed by Michèle Cournoyer and released in 1999. Told entirely without dialogue, the film centres on an exotic dancer's flashbacks to childhood memories of sexual abuse.
