The Scottish Rugby Union is the governing body of rugby union in Scotland. Now marketed as Scottish Rugby,it is the second oldest Rugby Union,having been founded in 1873. The SRU oversees the national league system,known as the Scottish League Championship,and the Scottish National teams. The SRU is headed by the President and Chairman,with Mark Dodson acting as the chief executive officer. Dee Bradbury became the first female president of a Tier 1 rugby nation upon her appointment on 4 August 2018.

Hillhead Jordanhill Rugby Football Club (HJRFC) is a Scottish rugby union club based in Glasgow,Scotland. HJRFC has roots going as far back as 1904 with the formation of the Hillhead Sports Club,however,the rugby club as we know it today was founded in 1988 with a Women's section added in 1995,they have played at their current home ground,Hughenden in the West End of Glasgow since then. Despite their name,the club is not located in either Hillhead or Jordanhill,although the pre-merger clubs did have historical links with these areas. Hughenden is located in Hyndland beside Great Western Road.
Edinburgh University Rugby Football Club is a leading rugby union side based in Edinburgh,Scotland which currently plays its fixtures in the Edinburgh Regional Shield competition and the British Universities Premiership. It is one of the eight founder members of the Scottish Rugby Union. In the years prior to the SRU's introduction of club leagues in 1973 and the advent of professionalism in the 1990s,EURFC was a major club power and it won the 'unofficial' Scottish Club championship several times. It remains a club with an all-student committee,and is only open to students of the University of Edinburgh. The club runs a men's team and a women's team;both playing in the university leagues.

Kilmarnock Rugby Football Club is a Scottish rugby union club which was founded in 1868,and is based in Kilmarnock,Ayrshire in west central Scotland. They play in West Division One. Often simply referred to as "Killie",their ground is at Bellsland in Kilmarnock,and they were formerly based at Rugby Park.

Moray has a number of youth teams taken from different age groups including micros and minis,S1 and S2,Under-16,Under-18 team. They play their rugby at Morriston Park in Elgin,Moray.
Glasgow Southern RFC was a former rugby union team. It was based in Giffnock,East Renfrewshire. Previously known as Clarkston RFC the Club altered its name to Glasgow Southern RFC in an AGM of May 1995. In 2002,the club merged with a Glasgow club Hutchesons Aloysians to form Glasgow Hutchesons Aloysians RFC.
Alan Brown is a former Scotland Club XV international rugby union player for Glasgow Warriors,who played at the Tighthead Prop position,although he could also be used in the Back Row if necessitated. Alan also went on to be a very successful coach after his player and assistant coach days. In 2018 he moved to Strathmore RFC,and in his first season they won the league and gained promotion as well as the quarter-finals of the Scottish cup. Alan then returned to Dundee rugby as head coach for the latter 2020 season. The team competes in the Scottish National League Division One.

Since 2013,she has played in multiple Women's Six Nations Championships,including the 2021 Women's Six Nations Championship. She was selected for the postponed 2020 Tokyo Olympics Team GB Rugby Sevens.
