Ian Arkwright (born 18 September 1959) is an English former professional footballer who played in the Football League for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Wrexham and Torquay United. He played as a winger, and the majority of his League career was spent with Wrexham in the early 1980s. [1]
Arkwright was born in Shafton, Barnsley, and began his career as an apprentice with Wolverhampton Wanderers, [1] turning professional in September 1977. He failed to establish himself at Wolves however, and played just four times in total. His debut was as a substitute in a 1–0 win over Queens Park Rangers on 30 September 1978, but after starting the next three games, never featured for the first team again. [2] [3]
He was transferred to Wrexham for a fee of £100,000 in March 1980. In four years at the Racecourse Ground, he made 104 league appearances, scoring 10 goals. Towards the end of his time at Wrexham and of his league career, in March 1984, he played two games on loan to Torquay United, [1] away to Chesterfield and at home to Mansfield Town.
He also plied his trade in foreign leagues, joining Finn Harps in Ireland [1] (8 goals in 94 total appearances) and HIK in Finland.

David Frank Llwyd Jones is an English professional football coach and former player who is currently the first team coach at Welsh club Wrexham. Jones began his playing career at Manchester United, but struggled to get into the first team and spent loan spells at Preston North End, NEC and Derby County, before joining Derby on a permanent basis in 2007. However, he left Derby after just one season to join Wolverhampton Wanderers. He spent three years with Wolves before joining Wigan Athletic. At the end of his second season there, he went on a brief loan spell with Blackburn Rovers, before joining Burnley. After three years with Burnley, he left for Sheffield Wednesday, where he spent another three years before being released at the end of the 2018–19 season. He joined Oldham Athletic on a free transfer but was released in January 2020. He was without a club while football was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but in August 2021, he signed for Wrexham as a player-coach. In June 2022, he retired from football to become a coach full-time at Wrexham.
Alan Sunderland is an English former footballer who played as a forward in the Football League for Wolverhampton Wanderers, Arsenal and Ipswich Town. He was also capped once for England.

Roger Patrick "Ernie" Hunt was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Swindon Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Coventry City, Doncaster Rovers and Bristol City, and for the Los Angeles Wolves in the United Soccer Association. At international level, he was capped three times for the England under-23 team. He was known as "Ernie" – a contraction of Ernest, his father's name – to avoid confusion with Liverpool and England striker Roger Hunt. In 1971 he was the winner of the inaugural BBC Goal of the Season award.
Dean Stephen Edwards is an English former professional footballer. After starting his career at Shrewsbury Town, he played for Kuopion Palloseura and Vaasan Palloseura in Finland, before returning to England to play for Telford United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Exeter City, Torquay United and Northampton Town, scoring for Torquay in two different Wembley appearances. After ending his career at Sliema Wanderers and Hong Kong Rangers, he managed several clubs in non-league football.
