Ibrahima Aya (born 10 October 1967 in Goundam, Mali) is a Malian writer.

Biography

Ibrahima Aya studied agronomy in the Moldavian SSR. He became an agronomist, notable for an integrated lake development project, and a consultant for the organisation for Malian aid and development, Aide et Développement au Mali. Since 2001, he has worked as an independent consultant. [1]

In addition to his development work Ibrahima Aya devotes himself to writing. In 2001, he published Le vieux pagne ("The Old Pagne"), and in 2002 Riche ou pauvre pour un mois ("Rich or Poor For a Month").

Since July 2002, he contributes monthly to the Malian daily L'Essor . Some of his writings describe an imaginary world pieced together from various facts; others portray ordinary village goings-on. An anthology of his work has been compiled.

Ibrahima Aya is president of the association La Jeune Société du Savoir ("The young society of knowledge"). She participated in Retour de Bamako III. [2]

Not only a football club, Djoliba AC is an Omnisports club which fields teams in many sports, and is operated as a membership organisation with an elected board.

Stade Malien Malian football club

Stade Malien is a Malian professional football and sports club based in Bamako. One of the two dominant clubs of Malian football, their eastern Bamako training grounds host other sports as well, including a successful basketball club.

Malian Première Division is the top division of football in Mali. Having been created in 1966, it is governed by the Malian Football Federation. The league has been professional since 2004. The official name is Ligue 1 Orange Mali for sponsorship reasons.

Ligue 1 (Mali) Basketball league

The Ligue 1 is the premier basketball competition for clubs in Mali. The league consist out of ten teams. As of May 2021, the defending champions are AS Police.

The 2019-20 Malian Première Division was the 53rd season of the highest level of professional football in Mali, and the first complete season since the 2016 season. The championship was contested by 23 teams between August 2019 and September 2020. The championship was interrupted after 21 matchdays in March 2020 by the COVID-19 pandemic, and resumed in August 2020 with the 22nd and final matchday, along with the championship and relegation play-offs. Stade Malien won their 22nd title and equalled Djoliba AC's record.

The 2021-22 Malian Première Division was the 55th season of the highest level of professional football in Mali. The championship was contested by 18 teams, starting in November 2021 and finishing in July 2022. Stade Malien were the holders going into the season following their 23nd title in the 2020-21 season, but lost the title to Djoliba AC, who won their 23rd title and drew level with Stade Malien in overall championships won.
