Throughout his career, Dutch electronic DJ and producer Tiësto has released seven studio albums. After spending years searching for his personal style and working with DJs like Ferry Corsten, Benno de Goeij and Armin van Buuren, he decided it was time to focus on his solo work. "As Your Friend" is a song by Dutch DJ Afrojack, featuring vocals by American singer Chris Brown. The song was released as a single via iTunes on 13 February 2013. It was written by Afrojack, Chris Brown, Nadir Sakir, DJ Buddha, and Polow Da Don, and was produced by Afrojack with co-production by Leroy Styles, DJ Buddha and Polow da Don. The track is taken from Dillon Francis' 2015 EP set This Mixtape Is Fire. The single is the first number-one for all three artists involved on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart, reaching the top spot in its June 11, 2016 issue. The song is actually a sampled recording using multiple elements of the original version of James Hersey's "Coming Over," which he recorded in 2014.
