Idea Jalsa is a music reality series on Indian classical music aired on Zee TV. It is hosted by TV anchor Durga Jasraj and Annu Kapoor. [1] [2]

History

Idea Jalsa a brainchild of Durga Jasraj and Vikram Shankar, started on 17 February 2006, inaugurated by the late President of Indian, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam. In 2008, idea jalsa became a morning music show on Doorddarshan. In 2011, Zee TV picked up the series, and in 2012, Zee TV USA picked up the series and is now aired in 165 countries.

The Show

Idea Jalsa is a national platform for talented youngsters, who get an opportunity to interact and share the stage with maestros and facilities for advance training. The show was organised across India by holding concerts in 12 cities.

It was also aired on regional channels of Doordarshan after its success.

The Zee Horror Show is an Indian horror weekly television series presented by Ramsay Brothers and that aired on Zee TV from 1993 to 2001.

Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh is an annual Indian classical music festival held at Chowmahalla Palace in Hyderabad, India. The festival is organised by noted classical singer Pt. Jasraj in memory of his father and brother, both classical musicians. Jasraj always performs on 30 November every year, his father's death anniversary and a tribute to Jasraj's guru, his mentor and elder brother, Maniram, who died in 1986, and Jasraj renamed the festival to include his brother's name.

Durga Jasraj is an Indian original content producer, actor and Hindustani classical singer. She focuses on creating indigenous content in formats for multiple media, viz. Live, Television, Online, Mobile VAS, Radio, CD/DVDs. She founded "Art And Artistes (I) Pvt. Ltd.", an entertainment programming company in 1999. She subsequently co-founded the Indian Music Academy (IMA) in 2006.

Yuvan – Live in Concert is a concert by Indian musician Yuvan Shankar Raja. The concert, Yuvan's second in his career, took place on Pongal, 16 January 2011 at the YMCA Grounds, Nandanam, Chennai. Following the announcement, popular Tamil television STAR Vijay agreed to collaborate, sponsoring, organising and marketing the concert, while airing a special television series about Yuvan Shankar Raja, with family members and prominent celebrities closely associated to him participating, besides producing a promotional music video, titled "I'll be there for you". The five-hour show, which was attended by 20,000 people, including several noted film personalities, was received very positively and considered a highly successful event. The concert was aired on 11 and 12 February, Friday and Saturday at 2000 hrs on Vijay TV.

The first season of the show premiered on 6 May 2012 and marked the television debut of popular Bollywood actor and filmmaker Aamir Khan. Uyirmei is a Tamil medical soap opera that aired on Zee Thamizh. The series is apparently inspired by Grey's Anatomy and House. The plot revolves around the lives of some doctors, their lives, families and patients. The show premiered on 18 August 2014.First the director was Bhushan but after a couple of episodes Sundhar.K.Vijayan started to direct. Starting from Monday 24 November 2014, the show was shifted to 7pm time Slot. Its episodes ended on 30 January 2015 with 112 episodes.

Meenakshi Ponnunga is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language television drama airing on Zee Tamil and streams on digital platform ZEE5. The series premiered on 1 August 2022, it stars Sriranjani with Soundarya Reddy and Aryan in the lead roles. It is an official remake of Zee Telugu series Radhamma Kuthuru.
