Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat is a government office complex at Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. [1] [2] It was named for the former governor, Idongesit Nkanga.

Air Commodore (retired) Idongesit Nkanga was governor of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria from September 1990 to January 1992 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, handing over to en elected civilian Governor at the start of the Nigerian Third Republic.

Also called Akwa Ibom State Secretariat complex, it is the permanent administrative office of the Government of Akwa Ibom State, [3] and hence houses the majority of the Ministries in Akwa Ibom State Civil Service. As of 2019 there are 26 Ministries in Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, [4] with 5826 female civil servants.

Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation was established on April 4, 1988 and is the first and only local television station. AKBC provides both television and radio services. It transmits in 90.528MHZ.
