The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket competition in Pakistan. With few exceptions,it has been staged annually since it was first played during the 1953–54 season. Domestic cricket in Pakistan has undergone many reorganisations,with the number of teams and matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy changing regularly. It has been variously contested by associations or departments,or a combination of the two. From 2019–20 to 2022–23 it was contested by six regional teams. For the 2023–24 season it was expanded to eight regional teams.

Iftikhar Ahmed is a Pakistani international cricketer. He is in the playing-eleven in the T20 and ODI formats of Pakistan National Cricket Team. In Pakistan Super League,he has previously played for Karachi Kings,Islamabad United,Quetta Gladiators and he will now represent Multan Sultans during HBL PSL Season 9. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in November 2015.
Taj Wali is a Pakistani cricketer. In round four of the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy,he became the first bowler in more than 20 years to take four wickets in four balls in first-class domestic cricket in Pakistan.
Imran Butt is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Lahore Blues in domestic cricket. He made his debut for the Pakistan cricket team in January 2021. He also played for other Lahore cricket teams and Balochistan in Pakistan domestic cricket.

Sahibzada Farhan is a Pakistani cricketer. He has played for several domestic teams since 2016 and in June 2018,he was called up to the national team for the first time. In August 2018,he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Abid Ali is a Pakistani international cricketer. He made his List A debut in 2005 and first-class cricket debut in 2007. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in March 2019. Prior to his international debut,he had scored 6,700 runs in more than 100 first-class matches and made 3,000 runs in List A cricket. He is the first male cricketer to score a century on both Test and One Day International (ODI) debut.
The 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was the 60th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy,Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competition. It was contested by 16 teams representing eight regional associations and eight departments,and took place from 26 September to 25 December 2017,spanning almost two weeks less than originally planned. Pakistan's former Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq was critical of the compressed schedule and the quality of the pitches saying "it takes time to prepare a good pitch for a game and nobody can make it in two days".
Ali Shan is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for Central Punjab. He made his first-class debut for Faisalabad in the 2017–18 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 26 September 2017. In September 2019,he was named in Central Punjab's squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. In January 2021,he was named in Central Punjab's squad for the 2020–21 Pakistan Cup.

Waleed Ahmed is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his List A debut for Karachi Whites in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on 6 September 2018. He was the leading wicket-taker for Karachi Whites in the tournament,with ten dismissals in five matches.
The 2005–06 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was one of three first-class domestic cricket competitions that were held in Pakistan during the 2005–06 season. The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was contested by thirteen teams representing regional associations;it was followed in the schedule by the Patron's Trophy Grade-I,contested by ten departmental teams,and the revived Pentangular Trophy,involving the top teams from each competition,later in the season.

It was the first edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy under a new sponsorship agreement with ABN AMRO signed by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
