Chowdhury Muhammad Shahriar Emon, known by his stage name Salman Shah, was a Bangladeshi film and television actor and model. Ranjit Mallick is an Indian actor who works mainly in Bengali cinema. Though he has starred in parallel films like Interview, Calcutta 71, Shakha Proshakha and romantic comedy like Mouchak; he is particularly known for appearing in action films such as Shatru, Guru Dakshina, Jibon Niye Khela etc. In later years, he has further received praise for playing supporting roles in Sathi, Nater Guru, Gyarakal, Chander Bari and Bajimaat. He was also the Sheriff of Kolkata for the year 2014.

Arifa Pervin Zaman, known by her stage name Moushumi, is a Bangladeshi film actress and director. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Actress three times for her roles in Meghla Akash (2001), Devdas (2013) and Taarkata (2014). She has acted in over 150 films and made her directorial debut with Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti (2003).
Se Amar Mon Kereche is a 2012 Bengali romantic action film directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan. The film stars Shakib Khan and Tinni in the lead roles, with Ahmed Sharif, Misha Sawdagor and Alamgir in supporting roles. Se Amar Mon Kereche was released on 20 August 2012. This movie was inspired by the American film French Kiss.

Dui Prithibi is a 2015 Bangladeshi romantic drama film. The film was screenplayed and directed by FI Manik. It was produced and distributed by Shondhani Kotha Chitra. It was written and dialogued by Mohammad Rafiquzzaman. The film features an ensemble cast including Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas and Ahona Rahman, Syed Hasan Imam, Alamgir, Abul Hayat, Kazi Hayat, Ali Raj, Parveen Sultana Diti, Dolly Johur, Rasheda Chowdhury, Mizu Ahmed, Sadek Bachchu, Misha Sawdagor, Shiba Shanu and Ilias Kobra. The film soundtrack was composed by Emon Saha.
Ratan Talukder is a Bangladeshi film actor, fighting director and karate instructor. He usually played supporting negative roles. He debuted as a film actor in the 1986 film Laraku directed by Shahidul Islam Khokon.
O Priya Tumi Kothay is a 2002 Bangladeshi romantic action film. The film was directed by Shahadat Hossain Liton and written and produced by Shahidul Islam Shahid under the banner of Abhinondon Cholochitro. It features Shakib Khan, Riaz, Shabnur in the lead roles. Also Misha Sawdagor, Wasimul Bari Rajib, Rehana Jolly and Afzal Sharif played supporting roles.
The disappearance of Ilias Ali is a high-profile incident in Bangladesh that took place in 2012. Ilias Ali, a former Member of Parliament and the organising secretary of the then-main opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He along with his driver Ansar Ali, was reportedly abducted from Banani neighbourhood, Dhaka, by individuals claiming to be from law enforcement agencies. In the following days, at least five of his party men died and many were injured as they observed strikes and demonstration programmes in protest of his disappearance. The incident got much media coverage.
