Imaginary Third is the third album by the alternative rock band The Van Pelt, released in 2014 on La Castanya Records. [1] Although officially presented as a previously unreleased third album, [2] Imaginary Third is a collection of songs previously released between 1997 and 1998 by The Van Pelt (Self Titled EP [3] ) and The Lapse (Betrayal! [4] ).

"Dancing in the Street" is a song written by Marvin Gaye, William "Mickey" Stevenson and Ivy Jo Hunter. It first became popular in 1964 when recorded by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas whose version reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and peaked at No. 4 in the UK Singles Chart. It is one of Motown's signature songs and is the group's premier signature song. A 1966 cover by the Mamas & the Papas was a minor hit on the Hot 100 reaching No. 73. In 1982, the rock group Van Halen took their cover of "Dancing in the Street" to No. 38 on the Hot 100 chart and No. 15 in Canada on the RPM chart. Brutal Planet is the fourteenth solo studio album by American rock musician Alice Cooper, released in 2000. Musically, this finds Alice tackling a much darker and heavier approach than on previous albums, with many songs approaching a somewhat modern-sounding, industrial/metal sound. The Lapse was an American indie band formed in late 1997. The band was first signed to Gern Blandsten, then Southern Records. A larger deal with Matador Records fell through in 2001. The Lapse was the duo of then boyfriend/girlfriend Chris Leo and Toko Yasuda. They formed The Lapse after the breakup of their previous band, The Van Pelt. The Lapse had Leo on guitar and Yasuda on bass with both handling vocals. The band welcomed a long list of guest musicians over the years, including Don Devore (bass), Justin DuClos (drums), and Gary Keating (bass).

Le Mani Destre Recise Degli Ultimi Uomini is the sixth album by the heavily conceptual American band Secret Chiefs 3. The album is a paranoiac soundtrack to an imaginary Giallo horror film. The album contains 30 tracks of original music inspired by Italian film composers including Bruno Nicolai, Stelvio Cipriani, Ennio Morricone, Goblin and Piero Piccioni. The album marks the first full-length release by one of the Secret Chiefs 3 satellite bands. Previously, three of the seven satellite bands, UR, The Electromagnetic Azoth and Ishraqiyun have released limited edition 7" EPs. Le Mani Destre Recise Degli Ultimi Uomini also had a limited vinyl release.

Girlpool Indie band from Los Angeles, California

Girlpool is an indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed by friends Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad. Their debut self-titled EP Girlpool was released on Bandcamp in 2014 and re-released on Wichita Recordings later that year. They released their debut album Before the World Was Big in 2015, followed by Powerplant (2017) and What Chaos Is Imaginary (2019). Their fourth studio album, Forgiveness (2022), was released on April 29.

Released Upon the Earth is the fourth album of the thrash metal band, Vengeance Rising. The album was later re-released in 2015, remastered and expanded. The only official members of the band at this point were founder Roger Martinez and new drummer Johnny Vasquez, who would later play with Mortification, when they first came to America. Alongside Vasquez, on this album, Steve Rowe performed guest vocals on the track "Tion".

Idles are a British rock band formed in Bristol in 2009. The band consists of Joe Talbot (vocals), Mark Bowen (guitar), Lee Kiernan (guitar), Adam Devonshire (bass) and Jon Beavis (drums). Their debut album, Brutalism, was released in 2017 to critical acclaim, as was their second album Joy as an Act of Resistance in 2018. Their third album, Ultra Mono, was released on 25 September 2020. The band released their fourth album, Crawler, on 12 November 2021.

The Later Years is a box set by British rock band Pink Floyd released on 13 December 2019 by Pink Floyd Records. It follows the 2016 box set The Early Years 1965–1972, and compiles Pink Floyd's work under the leadership of David Gilmour after the departure of founding member Roger Waters in 1985.
