Imitate Modern is a London-based contemporary photography and art gallery that exhibits work by emerging artists. [1] [2]
Imitate Modern was launched in 2011, initially occupying a space in Marylebone, London. [3] In 2015 it became a pop-up gallery, opening in various locations, including 90 Piccadilly and Goodwood Festival of Speed. In 2016 the gallery moved to its new permanent space at 19 Shepherd Market, London.
Imitate Modern hosted the first London solo exhibitions for Tyler Shields, Cartrain and Stik.[ citation needed ] In 2012, the French artist Philippe Shangti presents his exhibition "Saint Tropez to London" whose 28 provocative color images present a visual cocktail of drugs, fetishism, anarchy, sex and death. [4] [5] Imitate Modern hosted a solo exhibition by Rich Simmons, [6] and a retrospective dedicated to Kate Moss's anniversary in 2014 by Russell Marshall called 40.

The 491 Gallery was a squatted self-managed social centre and multi-disciplinary gallery in Leytonstone, London, England, that operated from 2001 to 2013. It contained a range of art and music studios, which were used to host workshops, classes and musical rehearsals. The building was subsequently demolished in 2016.

Riyas Komu born in Kerala is a critically acclaimed multimedia artist and curator based in Mumbai. He has invested his time in art education and developing art infrastructure in India. Komu's works are inspired by social conflicts and political movements and topics like migration and displacement. Komu also participated in the Jogja Biennale, Indonesia, 2011. Riyas born in 1971 in a small town in Thrissur District of Kerala. He lives and works in Mumbai.

Philippe Shangti is a multidisciplinary French contemporary artist. Born in 1983 in Toulouse, he studied in this city then he moved to Saint-Tropez at the beginnings of the 2000s. He became known by exhibiting his art on the walls of trendy restaurants. Ten years later, he moved to the Principality of Andorra.
