Imperio Properties [1] is a property development and management firm, based in Cyprus, since 2003. Imperio completed fifty projects, and its biggest project is The Icon tower, which has been completed in 2021. [2] [3]
Imperio Group's chairman, Yiannis Misirlis and director at Imperio Properties, Antonis Misirlis, are brothers. Yiannis is married to Ino Anastasiades, daughter of Nicos Anastasiades, the Former President of Cyprus. [4]
Yiannis Misirlis is the founder and the chairman at Imperio Group. [5] Yiannis was educated in London and Madrid, and holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, an MSc in Information Technology, and an International MBA. He is also a current member of Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK). Yiannis is also the chairman of the Board of the Land and Building Developers Association of Cyprus (LBDA). [6] Yiannis has been a regular contributor to OPPLive (one of Europe's largest property fairs) covering issues related to the Cyprus property market. He is also a regular contributor to the business columns of Phileleftheros, Politis and Simerini (local newspapers) analysing investment trends related to the property market, as well as trends related to interior design and property management and has, in the past, contributed to columns in the Financial Times and the Hong Kong Times. [7] In 2010, Yiannis was voted “Businessman of the Year” by Politis newspaper.
The Icon [8] is a tower in Limassol, Cyprus on the Mediterranean coastline. It is located at the tourist area of Yermasogeia. It contains 60 residences. The Icon is one of the tallest building in Cyprus. [9] [10] [11] At the entrance of the building there is a sculpture of the Wild Kong [12] series by the French artist Richard Orlinski.
Sunset Gardens [13] is the first gated residential community in Limassol. The development of the project started at 2021 and includes more than 300 apartments. One Limassol, otherwise known as simply One, is a high-rise apartment building in Limassol, Cyprus. Construction for the project was meant to begin in early 2016, but was pushed back to November 2017. It has a total of 38 floors and it rises to a height of 170 meters (558 ft.), making it the tallest building in Cyprus. One Tower was designed by architect Hakim Khennouchi and Eraclis Papachristou Architects. Structural design was completed by Buro Happold Engineering and PPA.

Nikos Christodoulides is a Cypriot politician, diplomat, and academic who has served as the 8th President of Cyprus since 2023. He previously served as Government Spokesman from 2014 to 2018 and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2022, both under his predecessor Nicos Anastasiades. A former member of the Democratic Rally, he has been an independent since the party ejected him for entering the 2023 presidential race against their chosen candidate.
Omonoia, is a quarter in the municipality of Limassol in the Limassol District of Cyprus. It is situated near the Port of Limassol. The quarter takes its name from the Omonoias Avenue. It borders Saint Spyridonas to the west and Agios Ioannis to the east. Many central avenues go by around Omonoia, namely Pafou Avenue, Omonoias Avenue, Franklin Roosevelt Avenue and Makarios Avenue, making it a high traffic area.

The Alphamega Stadium, also known as Limassol Stadium for UEFA competitions, is a football stadium in Kolossi, Limassol District, Cyprus, and the home ground of the 3 biggest clubs of Limassol Apollon, AEL and Aris. With an all-seater capacity of 11,000, it is the second largest football-only stadium and the fifth largest football stadium overall in Cyprus.
The 2024 Limassol Municipal election was a municipal election that took place in Limassol on June 9, 2024, alongside the 2024 European elections and other local elections. These elections had been postponed from December 2021 pending local government reform. Independent candidate Yiannis Armeftis ultimately won the mayorship with 48.5% of the votes.
