My Bloody Valentine are an Irish-English alternative rock band formed in Dublin in 1983 and consisting since 1987 of founding members Kevin Shields and Colm Ó Cíosóig, with Bilinda Butcher and Debbie Googe (bass). Often cited as a pioneering act in the shoegaze genre, their sound is characterized by dissonant guitar textures, androgynous vocals, and unorthodox production techniques.

Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (ABWH) were an English progressive rock band active from 1988 to 1990 that comprised four past members of the English progressive rock band Yes. Singer Jon Anderson left Yes as he felt increasingly constrained by their commercial and pop-oriented direction in the 1980s. He began an album with other members from the band's 1970s era: guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and drummer Bill Bruford, plus bassist Tony Levin.

Bush Tetras are an American post-punk No Wave band from New York City, formed in 1979. They are best known for the 1980 song "Too Many Creeps", which exemplified the band's sound of "jagged rhythms, slicing guitars, and sniping vocals". Although they did not achieve mainstream success, the Bush Tetras were influential and popular in the Manhattan club scene and college radio in the early 1980s. New York's post-punk revival of the 2000s was accompanied by a resurgence of interest in the genre, with the Tetras' influence heard in many of that scene's bands.

The Wall – Live in Berlin was a live concert performance by Roger Waters and numerous guest artists, of the Pink Floyd studio album The Wall, itself largely written by Waters during his time with the band. The show was held in Berlin on 21 July 1990, to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall eight months earlier. A live album of the concert was released 21 August 1990. A video of the concert was also commercially released.

The band was formed by Bob Mould, Grant Hart, and Greg Norton in 1979. Their first album release was Land Speed Record, a live album released through New Alliance Records. The band released its first studio album, Everything Falls Apart on its own label the following year. Hüsker Dü signed with SST Records in 1983, and released its next three albums with that label. The Warner Music Group released the band's last two studio albums. Hüsker Dü broke up in 1987. The band released 6 albums, including two double albums, between January 1983 and January 1987.

The album was written, performed and produced by Rundgren alone with the exception of vocals by Rachel Haden on "Something From Nothing". Limited editions included a bonus second disc of a live performance at Paradiso, Amsterdam on November 11, 2012 by Rundgren and The Metropole Orchestra.
