Inayat Hussain HI(M) is a three-star general in the Pakistan Army, currently serving as the Chief of Logistics Staff (CLS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. [1] He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2019. [2]

Early life and education

Hussain was born in the village of Ganish in the Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan. [1] His father Hadi Hussain retired from military as a colonel.

Military career

Hussain was commissioned in 84th PMA Long Course in the prestigious Guides Infantry. [3]

In 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Major General. [4] He assumed the office of Chief Instructor B-Division at the National Defence University. Prior to his promotion as Lieutenant General, he served as Vice Chief of General Staff (Bravo) at GHQ. [5] [6]

In May 2024, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and was appointed as Chief of Logistics Staff, replacing Lt Gen Nauman Zakaria. [3] [7]
