Inayat Hussain HI(M) is a three-star general in the Pakistan Army, currently serving as the Chief of Logistics Staff (CLS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2019. [1]
Hussain was born in the village of Ganish in the Hunza Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan. [1] His father Hadi Hussain retired from military as a colonel.
Hussain was commissioned in 84th PMA Long Course in the prestigious Guides Infantry. [2]
In 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Major General. [1] He assumed the office of Chief Instructor B-Division at the National Defence University. Prior to his promotion as Lieutenant General, he served as Vice Chief of General Staff (Bravo) at GHQ. [3] [4]
In May 2024, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and was appointed as Chief of Logistics Staff, replacing Lt Gen Nauman Zakaria. [2] [5]
