Indian Pines Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course located in Auburn and adjacent Opelika, Alabama, USA. In 2005, the course was cited by Golf Digest in their rating of Auburn as the "best golf city in America". [1] It is a par 71 course with summer bermuda grass and a bentgrass/ryegrass mix in the winter. Indian Pines was originally constructed in 1946 as the Saugahatchee County Club, a nine-hole course, with the first tournament being held on July 4, 1947. The back nine holes, designed by Eddie Loos, were built in 1951. [2] In 1976, the course was sold to the cities of Auburn and Opelika, which have operated it as a municipal course since. The course was redesigned in 1999. After fire destroyed the old clubhouse, a new clubhouse was constructed in 2006. [3] Indian Pines hosts the Indian Pines Invitational, an amateur tournament drawing 200 participants and sponsored by Miller Lite. [4] Indian Pines is the home course of the Auburn High School Tigers golf team.
The course recently underwent a significant renovation, led by the golf course architect Bill Bergin. [5] In 2023, it was renamed Pines Crossing. [6]

He was also runner-up in the 2011 PGA Championship, losing a playoff to Keegan Bradley. Dufner was ranked in the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking for 50 weeks; his career-high ranking is sixth in September 2012.

The Auburn High School Tigers are the athletic teams which represent Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama. Auburn High School's athletics program fields twenty-one varsity teams as a member of the large-school classification (7A) of the Alabama High School Athletic Association. The first three editions of the tournament were played in Alabama at the Grand National course of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, northeast of Auburn. It was the first PGA Tour event played in Alabama since the PGA Championship in 1990.
Brooksville Golf and Country Club is a golf club in Brooksville, Florida. Opened in 1971, the course was originally designed by William Mitchell, with renovations in the back nine holes by Bobby Weed. The course is characterized by deep rough and trees, and has been praised for its unique "quarry holes", constructed in a former mining pit; the 12th and 17th holes have been recognized by Golf Digest as one of the "most fun" and "best designed" golf holes in the United States, respectively.
