The Indonesia President Invitational was an Asian Tour golf tournament. It was played for the first time in October 2007 at the Bumi Serpong Damai Course in Indonesia. The Bumi Serpong Damai Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus. The tournament's main sponsor was Pertamina in 2007 and 2008. In 2009, the purse was US$400,000.

Tangerang is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Located on the western border of Jakarta, it is the third largest urban centre in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area after Jakarta and Bekasi; the sixth largest city proper in the nation; and the largest city in Banten province. It has an area of 164.55 square kilometres and an official 2010 Census population of 1,798,601, which had risen to 1,895,486 at the 2020 Census. – making it the eighth most populated suburb in the world at the latter date. St. Ursula Catholic School or Sekolah Menengah Katolik Santa Ursula is an all-female Catholic school located in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located next to Jakarta Cathedral and Filateli Post Office. The school has a branch in BSD, Tangerang. After its initial establishment as an Ursuline Convent in 1859, the Ursulines established the Prinses Juliana School in Batavia in 1912. At present, the school is known as St. Ursula Catholic School.

Jakarta-Serpong toll road is a toll road connecting South Tangerang and Jakarta. The length of the toll road is 13.5 Kilometres. The toll road was completed in 2004 built by PT. Jasamarga Tbk. This toll road crosses South Jakarta and the city of South Tangerang, and connected to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road in Ulujami and Petukangan areas.
South Tangerang is a city in the province of Banten, Indonesia. Located 30 km (19 mi) on the southwestern border of Jakarta, the city forms part of the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area. Bumi Serpong Damai, commonly referred to BSD City is a privately developed planned community at Serpong district of South Tangerang, within Greater Jakarta in Indonesia. The project was initiated in 1984 by a group of private developers and starred in 1989. The town is implemented and managed by the holding company PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk, which is owned by Sinar Mas Land, a subsidiary of the Sinar Mas Group, a large industrial conglomerate in Indonesia. BSD City encompasses a total area of approximately 6,000 hectares. The homes in the community are designed to be suitable for Indonesia's upper-middle class, in gated neighbourhoods, each with a different theme. At the time of project development during 90's, BSD City was the most ambitious urban planning scheme in Indonesia to combine housing, business and commercial properties. BSD is a complete community, with businesses, schools, shopping malls, hospitals and hotels.

It formed in 1988 under the flag of Duta Pertiwi. Its head office building, designed by Aedas, is located in the BSD Green Office Park in Jakarta and received a high commendation under Indonesia’s office architecture at Asia Pacific Property Awards 2014.
Serpong Station (SRP) is a railway station located in Serpong, Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten. It is located not far from Bumi Serpong Damai complex or commonly known as BSD City. This station used to be the terminus for trains in the green line, now the line has been extended to Parung Panjang, Maja and Rangkasbitung. This station mostly served the commuter in Greater Jakarta.

Drs. Kyai Hajji Habib Ali Alwi bin Thohir Al Husainy is an Indonesian politician, da'i, Islamic scholar and founder of the Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Husainy, Serpong, South Tangerang, Banten. At the election of regional head and deputy regional head of Tangerang Regency in 2008, Alwi was nominated by the Democrat Party and the National Awakening Party as a candidate for vice regent along with Usamah Hisyam as a candidate for regent, but this pair was defeated by incumbent candidate Ismet Iskandar with Rano Karno as his deputy. Currently, Alwi serves as a senator representing the province of Banten in the seat of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia period 2014–2019.
