Hyderabad is a city and capital of Hyderabad Division in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the second-largest city in Sindh, and the eight-largest in Pakistan. Founded in 1768 by Mian Ghulam Shah Kalhoro of the Kalhora Dynasty, Hyderabad served as a provincial capital until the British transferred the capital to Bombay presidency in 1847. It is about 150 kilometres (93 mi) inland of Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan to which it is connected by a direct railway and motorway.

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is an international airport that serves Hyderabad, the capital of the Indian state of Telangana. It is located in Shamshabad, about 24 kilometres (15 mi) south of Hyderabad. It was opened on 23 March 2008 to replace Begumpet Airport. It is named after Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. It has also ranked in AirHelp's list of top 10 airports in the world. In FY-2021, for the first time, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport over took Chennai to become fourth busiest airport in India by passengers traffic. It handled 8.04 million passengers between April 2020 and March 2021.

The Hyderabad Metro is a rapid transit system, serving the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It is the second longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro with 57 stations and the lines are arranged in a secant model. It is funded by a public–private partnership (PPP), with the state government holding a minority equity stake. A special purpose vehicle company, L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd (L&TMRHL), was established by the construction company L&T to develop the Hyderabad metro rail project. A 30-kilometre (19 mi) stretch from Miyapur to Nagole, with 24 stations, was inaugurated on 28 November 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This was the longest rapid transit metro line opened in one go in India. It is estimated to cost ₹18,800 crore (US$2.6 billion). As of February 2020, about 490,000 people use the Metro per day. Trains are crowded during the morning and evening rush hours. A ladies only coach was introduced on all the trains from 7 May 2018.
The Deccan Chargers was a franchise cricket team based in the city of Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. The team was one of the eight founding members of the IPL in 2008 and was owned by Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd. After finishing last in the first season of the IPL, they won the second season held in South Africa in 2009 under the captaincy of former Australian wicket-keeper and batsman Adam Gilchrist. Gilchrist was the captain of the team for the first three seasons of the IPL & Rohit Sharma as his Deputy. From the fourth season, Kumar Sangakkara led the team and Cameron White played as his deputy. The team was coached by Darren Lehmann, former Australian cricketer.

Mithiani is a town in the Naushahro Feroze District, of Sindh, Pakistan. It is 15 km west of Naushahro Feroze City, according to 2017 censes of Pakistan it had a population of 97,734. There used to be a railway service in Mithiani which connected Mithiani with rest of Sindh. railway station, which is now defunct. Mithiani is situated on the right bank of River Indus, the town is protected by a massive bund against high flooding in the River Indus, which was constructed in 1920.
