Institute of Higher Education of NAPS (National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences) of Ukraine - is one of the NAPS Institutes responsible for control, research and development of system of higher education.

History

The Institute was created on 7 June 1999 according to a decree of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №988.

One of the last organization's final achievements was participation in the creation of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. [1]

National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine is a scientific institution that was established in 1992 by the special decrees of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Sign Language (USL) is the sign language of the deaf community of Ukraine. Ukrainian Sign Language belongs to the family of French sign languages. Worldwide awareness of Ukrainian Sign Language rose sharply in 2014 after the release of a Ukrainian film The Tribe, where actors communicated in Ukrainian Sign Language with no spoken dialogue.

Liliia Mykhailivna Hrynevych is a Ukrainian educator, politician and civil servant, a Member of the Parliaments of the 7th and 8th Convocation from December 2012 to April 2016. Anatoly A. Mazaraki is Ukrainian scientist of Greek descent, rector of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE). Among his academic achievements belong: the Doctor of Economics (1995), professor (1994), academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Scientist of Ukraine (1995) and Honorary Professor (2010). He is author of over 300 scientific publications.

National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education of Ukraine is the regulator of higher education of Ukraine. It was created in connection with Institute of Higher Education of NAPS of Ukraine and its scientific community.

Inna Sovsun is a Ukrainian professor and politician. She served as Ukraine's deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine from 2014 to 2016. On August 23, 2016, Sovsun resigned from her post following a controversy involving an order that would have reduced staffing levels of the Ministry of Education and Science by up to 10%. She served as vice-president of the Kyiv School of Economics from 2016 to 2018. She has also been a full professor of the department of political science National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", as well as co-founder and former director of the think tank CEDOS.

The National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine of February 24, 1993 No. 59 [59/93]. The academy is a state-owned research organization on medicine and health care, which operates in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine on a self-governing basis.
