The Integrated Transport Information System (ITIS) is a traffic management system in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The system began operation on 2005 with the cooperation of Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Malaysian Highway Authority, Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) and the Ministry of Transport Malaysia. The system is used for traffic monitoring, accident, construction and other situations that happen on the roads and highways in Kuala Lumpur and Klang Valley. The main ITIS headquarters and traffic operation centre is located at Bukit Jalil Highway near Technology Park Malaysia in Bukit Jalil.
The ITIS is a system made up of two core components, which are Advance Traffic Management System (ATMS) and Advance Travellers Information System (ATIS).
The ATMS acts as the eyes and ears of the ITIS where all traffic information are collected. The ATMS is made up of data collection units, which are CCTVs, Automatic Incident Detection System (AID System) and Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVLS). The data collection units relays the data to Transport Management Center (TMC) in Bukit Jalil for analysis and processing.
The Advanced Traveller Information System (ATIS) delivers real-time information of the traffic conditions to the public so that the congestion in the city would be reduced. The data are disseminated via Variable Message Signs (VMS), radio stations, the Internet and the ITIS Call Centre.
There are widespread of criticisms citing that the ITIS is a white elephant. In 2007, the Ministry of Transport Malaysia implemented the Automated Enforcement System (AES). However, the highly sophisticated ITIS is not part of the AES.

The New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), designated E1, is an expressway entirely within the Klang Valley region of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur in Peninsular Malaysia. The expressway begins at the settlement of Bukit Raja near Klang, and ends at Jalan Duta in Kuala Lumpur. The 35-kilometre (22-mile) expressway is one of the most heavily utilised expressways in the Klang Valley region. The expressway shares its designation with the North–South Expressway Northern Route.
The North–South Expressway Northern Route North–South Expressway Northern Route is an interstate controlled-access highway running parallel to the northwestern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The 460-kilometre (290-mile) expressway forms the north section of the North–South Expressway, passing through the northwestern states of Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor. The expressway begins at the Bukit Kayu Hitam checkpoint in Kedah where the Malaysia–Thailand border lies, and ends at Bukit Lanjan in Selangor where the expressway interchanges with the New Klang Valley Expressway. The expressway is operated by PLUS Expressways.
SPRINT Expressway Sprint Expressway(Malay: Sistem Penyuraian Trafik Kuala Lumpur Barat, English: System of Traffic Dispersal in Western Kuala Lumpur) is the main expressway network in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The 26.5 km (16.5 mi) expressway is divided into three sections: the Kerinchi Link, Damansara Link and Penchala Link. It is a three-lane dual carriageway that was built to disperse traffic from congested inner city roads and narrow residential streets leading into Kuala Lumpur from the western suburbs, including Petaling Jaya, Damansara, and surrounding areas. It is one of the busiest expressway during rush hour to and from the city centre.
North Klang Straits Bypass, Federal Route 20, AH 141, is the main highway bypass to Port Klang in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Federal Route 20 became the backbone of the road system linking Sungai Rasau to Port Klang before being surpassed by the New North Klang Straits Bypass 30. Many cargo trucks travel along the highway daily.

Overseas Union Garden, also known as OUG and Taman Overseas Union, is a main township in the Seputeh constituency in south-western Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Bukit Jalil Highway, or Puchong–Sungai Besi Highway, Federal Route 217, is a major highway in Klang Valley, Malaysia. It is a toll-free and also a second highway after Shah Alam Expressway E5. It connects the Sungai Besi Expressway E9 near Selangor Turf Club in the east to Damansara–Puchong Expressway E11 near Puchong Jaya in the west. The highway passes Bandar Kinrara and Bukit Jalil.
IRIS is an open-source Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software project developed by the Minnesota Department of Transportation. It is used by transportation agencies to monitor and manage interstate and highway traffic. IRIS uses the GPL license.
The Malaysian Expressway System is a network of national controlled-access expressways in Malaysia that forms the primary backbone network of Malaysian national highways. The network begins with the Tanjung Malim–Slim River tolled road which was opened to traffic on 16 March 1966, later North–South Expressway (NSE), and is being substantially developed. Malaysian expressways are built by private companies under the supervision of the government highway authority, Malaysian Highway Authority.
The Automated Enforcement System (AES) is the road safety enforcement system to monitor all federal roads, highways and expressways in Malaysia. This system came into operation on 22 September 2012.
The BRT Federal Line was a proposed bus rapid transit for Kuala Lumpur–Klang Corridors, and it has been identified in the KL BRT Report 2011 as one of the potential BRT Corridors in the Klang Valley region. The BRT project was planned to be operational by 2018, but is now shelved indefinitely. The government cited "redundancies with the LRT3 " as the reason for its decision to cancel the project.
