The International School of Azerbaijan (TISA) is a secular college-preparatory international day school in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was founded in 1996 and admits pupils between the age of 2 and 18. The school is located in a purpose-built facility in a residential community on the outskirts of Baku. [1]
The school provides an English-medium curriculum based on the International Baccalaureate and offers IB Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programmes. It is accredited by the Azerbaijani Education Ministry and the IBO. [2] [1] TISA serves both the expatriate and local community, and the school mandates Azerbaijani language for domestic students. [1]
Students take part in a variety of Central & Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA) and other International events each school year. These include sports like football, basketball, swimming and volleyball. They also have extra-curricular activity events such as Speech & Debate and Model United Nations. Each year, TISA hosts international events.
TISA officially has football, volleyball and basketball clubs. There are student-created clubs too, which includes a baseball club and a coding club.

Millbrook Magnet High School, commonly known as Millbrook High School (MHS), is a public magnet high school located in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is one of thirty-two high schools in the Wake County Public School System. In 2006, Millbrook finished the renovation of its campus which includes a new three-level building, a courtyard for students, and a larger cafeteria making MHS one of the largest and up to date facilities in the area. In 2009, Millbrook High School was granted International Baccalaureate status by the North Carolina Board of Education. Sport in Azerbaijan has ancient roots, and even now, both traditional and modern sports are still practiced. Freestyle wrestling has been traditionally regarded as Azerbaijan's national sport, however today, the most popular sports in Azerbaijan are football and chess. Other popular sports are gymnastics, judo, futsal, weightlifting, and boxing. Azerbaijan's mountainous terrain provides great opportunities for the practice of sports like skiing and rock climbing. Water sports are practiced on the Caspian Sea and in inland waters. Competitively, Azerbaijan has been very successful at chess, weightlifting, and wrestling at the international level. Azerbaijan is also an active member of the international sports community, with full membership in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), European Athletics Association (EAA), International Olympic Committee (IOC), among many others. It has also hosted the first European Games and 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games.

On June 13, 2000, the third President of Azerbaijan--then Heydar Aliyev--issued a special order for the establishment of the National Conservatory of Azerbaijan (NCA) located in Baku, the capital of country. In accordance with this order, national artist Siyavush Karimi Ashraf was elected to the position of Rector of the Conservatory. The following year, Baku Music College and Republic Art Gymnasium were added to further expand the institution. The former and current professors of the conservatory hold expertise in various diverse backgrounds including conducting, composition, and singing. Many are professional musicians or prominent social public figures.
